Blackbeard's Cabin
Hometown Escapes
Escape room
IRL
This venue is great! Joe, owner, is very welcoming and tells all the story’s perfectly. This is the smallest room they have, but it’s filled with different puzzles. They have a good mix of electronic and traditional puzzles. Definitely worth a visit to this venue!
Bomb Squad [prev. Undercover Alley]
Breakout Games - Charlotte
Escape room
IRL
Room was extremely small, but the some puzzles were difficult. I didn’t think had a great “flow”. It wasn’t terrible, so not a thumbs down, but I’d give it an ‘ok’. Breakout games is a bit pricey if you don’t have a few people. The price of the game goes down per person the more people you have.
Crisis At 1600: First Strike!
Hometown Escapes
Escape room
IRL
Overall the game play was good, the room was nicely done with the theme of “the Oval Office.” We did finish pretty quickly, and felt like there should’ve been a bit more. But overall good room.

The GM (owner) is fantastic, this room is completely technology driven (no mechanical puzzles) and is AMAZING. It’s a little difficult but worth the time!
Dracula’s Tomb
Speedway Escapes
Escape room
IRL
This is a great room, hidden gem! The set is fantastically done, there is a good mix of a few traditional locks and then some electronic puzzles. It’s clear the owners take pride in an immersive experience. Note this is not a scary room, so it’s fun for all ages! Minimum is 4 players. There are some challenging puzzles and is definitely a cerebral game in the beginning. Would recommend and will be trying their other room!

Exit Strategy - South

Really great room! The set was well done, story well executed. There were a few puzzles that were rather difficult, but made it even more fun.

Great set, it could be a magicians training room. The puzzles are difficult, as it’s a non linear room. They incorporated electronics really well as all of their rooms do. The game is not the staff is super friendly as they always have been! Would recommend this venue!
King Tut's Curse
Escape Tactic
Escape room

It was a good “Egyptian” theme. I felt the room was a bit out-dated, and the ending was anti-climatic.
Lost In Space

Fairly easy. Room is older. Game ended abruptly with a “that’s all?” Feeling versus “yes we made it!” Puzzles that were intended to be solved later were solved earlier making the gameplay slightly confusing. Several red herrings (or maybe they were just old/broken pieces of the game no longer in use?) tip: keep in mind you are attempting to repair your ship, one puzzle is particularly obscure in that most rooms you’re discouraged from performing this type of action. Overall I’d suggest going to one of their other rooms.
Precinct
Timed Out
Escape room
IRL
Timed out escapes is by far one of the best places to go in terms of set design and well thought out puzzles. Precinct is a bit more challenging and you’ll need to be good with “putting pieces together.” I love the technology they put into the rolls and highly recommend.
