The Magic Cottage

This was such a wonderful game. The design inside of the room was like stepping into a D&D cottage or something similar to Fantasyland at Disneyland. The whole room felt real and alive. The magic that you do during the game truly blew my mind throughout the entire journey. This is a longer game, posting at 75 minutes, but every second seemed to be filled with wonder. We had one hiccup with one of the puzzles not operating properly and we saw the pay off before the puzzle was to be done, but still had fun with each of the very clever puzzles. I did this with just my girlfriend and I and we we were able to get out with three minutes to spare, so it does push your mind to the limits at points. I was very overstimulated after the experience and had to chill for a bit due to the amount of things going on, but that is a good thing in my eyes. The story was a bit basic and it was not too difficult to follow or make decisions along the way, and Magnus the Dragon was cute at first but he did rattle on a bit too much for my liking during the game. Over all, if you are a fan of Harry Potter, D&D, anything Fantasy this is a must do.

This is my favorite escape room that I have done so far. The theme, the puzzles, the story, all of it. Nothing was better than reliving childhood and solving puzzles. I did this with my girlfriend and I and it was challenging but incredibly fun. If you want to just have a fun and stress free escape room, this is the one for you. Highly recommend!

Very fun and scary. It’s what you don’t see that scares you. Great game and fun start to the game to set the mood of fear. I have had an idea that each escape room I do is going to have a piece from this game. I have been conditioned. Good spooky theme and they even threw in some personal touches to freak us out more.

Pretty forgettable game but not terrible. I was expecting a bit more fear from a game about Mr. Hyde but it was ok. Nothing was particularly difficult or anything but it was ok. Would recommend for those who are just stepping into the world of escape rooms.

This was the first escape room for a few people in our group and I think it was a great welcome to the world of escape rooms. There were so many different puzzles and layers to this room. I feel like if you want to have someone experience a room for the first time bring them here. It isn’t scary or extremely difficult it’s just good fun.

I will start by saying I’m afraid of the ocean, and I was able to get through this one pretty smoothly. It was simple in the beginning and got a bit difficult near the end, and then the finale was a bit unexpected and unusual. If I were to change anything it would be the final activity. If you get claustrophobic I would definitely say to avoid this one as it can be a bit tight spaced.

I did this with myself and my girlfriend. Two was a great number because it wasn’t a very large room and I could see tripping over people with more bodies running around. This game felt like a story mission from Uncharted mixed with Call of Duty. There were some very interesting puzzles and ideas in this room that I appreciated. The atmosphere did feel like you were in a market on the other side of the globe and that was such a cool feeling even though we know we were right there in Irvine. The Escape Game really does put a lot into their games and this was no exception.

We dressed in suits and took this bank by force. A very cool environment and use of lighting for a room. We had one broken puzzle that took some time to get fixed and figured out. We had a great time acting alike true robbers.
