Crazy Artist's Workshop
Exit Lab Houston [prev. Exit Zone Houston]
Escape room
IRL
This place has gone by several names. Quest Shark, Escape Zone and now Exit Lab. The rooms appear to remain the same however. Crazy Artist Workshop was better than our previous experience, everything made sense and we were allowed to use our phones for flashlights. Nothing groundbreaking puzzle wise but a solid room, albeit kind of short.
The Gate
That Escape Place

It was a decent room but some puzzles lacked proper cluing. Room was kind of immersive but story wasn’t. The set up at this place is such that the walls don’t go all the way up to the ceiling. While we were playing another group of kids were in another room screaming and it was very distracting both from an immersion standpoint and a concentration standpoint. Of the 4 rooms here this one ranks 3rd for us.

Another amazing room at The Exit Game. Set design was impeccable, and the story and puzzles integrated really well. Good mix of linear and non-linear. Several multi-step puzzles, but all perfectly logical. Our GM Lexi was incredible! A must do for any enthusiast.
Captain Spoopy Bones
Doldrick's Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
Our favorite split-start game to date. Communication was key, but lighting and ambient noise was perfect, not too loud or dark. Puzzles flowed well and made sense and there were lots of them so everyone in our group of 4 got to do a lot. Just a fun room!!
The Seventh Room
Dare 2 Escape
Escape room
IRL
To be blunt, we hated this room, for very different reasons. Kids were scared so couldn’t contribute. Husband and I felt the puzzles were not well clued and just kind of random. GM came in 4 times to help with various issues we had which ruined immersion. If you’re going to have a puzzle with small pieces, don’t make the container hard to open so pieces go flying. Some of the things should have been able to be handled via the hint system so not sure why she came in. We had no plans to do this room but it was hyped by GMs at two other venues in Orlando so we did it. Really wish we hadn’t.

Different twist on the spy theme. Several unique puzzles, with plenty to keep everyone busy. Good soundtrack and it wasn’t so loud as to be intrusive to the game.

Definitely the most unique Christmas-themed rooms, and one of our favorites. Very non-linear so there is lots for everyone to do. Intro video and story was hilarious and well integrated into the puzzles. Cute soundtrack that was just right volume to add to the overall theme.
Neighborhood Watcher

Good suspense/thriller theme. The GM (sorry can’t remember her name) played the parts well. Some clever puzzles. A must-do at Escape Ventures if you like suspense/thriller.

Bro, you gotta do this game. It was totally righteous. So unique bro. GM Ross was the bomb.
Outage: No Vacancy
The Escape Ventures

Our first “blackout” room. A very different experience than a traditional escape room. Puzzles that would likely be easy in the light become very difficult doing it all by feel.
