Black and White Cafe
MindFox Escape
Escape room
IRL
Excellent room for all experience levels. Fits the theme so well. Definitely take in the look and feel of the room once inside as they immerse you into this colorless world. Puzzles made sense and there were some unique ones we were pleasantly surprised to find. A one room experience but plenty to do to keep you busy for the hour. What I really like about MindFox though is how they do the little things well. From a welcoming experience, to taking time to answer questions on what happened throughout the room, and making you feel accomplished when all is said and done. You can tell they take pride in their rooms. Just the customer service alone brings this place to another level. Totally recommend and can’t wait to see the next room they come up with.
Moriarty's Manor
MindFox Escape
Escape room

Room was very well done and fit the theme tremendously well. Some of the puzzles were unique which made for a fun team building experience. I would recommend this room to anyone. GMs were awesome and very friendly. They were very good at the little things to make your visit a bit more personalized. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back for their other room.
The Zombie Lab
Infinity Escape
Escape room
IRL
Non linear room but done very well. Really had fun with the zombie theme of the room. If you can focus on the puzzles, search things thoroughly (not forcefully) and not let the spooky vibe distract you, then many will rock through the room. I enjoyed their other room Magic Cottage more but was pleasant surprised that the Zombie Lab was better than expected.
The Lost Expedition
Steal and Escape
Escape room
IRL
Split start and communication is a must!!! Puzzles were good and some were pretty unique for us. Your team has different roles which added to the fun but everyone can provide assistance to keep the momentum of the room flowing. We really enjoyed this and ending was satisfying. We’ve done all their rooms now and this is supposed to be their toughest. Steal and Escape does a good job. They try their best to make you part of the story and allow choices to affect your experience.
The Missing Season
Steal and Escape
Escape room
IRL
Wasn’t sure if this room would be our cup of tea but we were pleasantly surprised. After some excitement doing the Lost Expedition, our GM Julia gave a brief summary of the Missing Season and we asked if there was availability for us to do it right now. It was pretty immersive and you feel like part of a story. If you like that style of gameplay, you will enjoy this. The puzzles were good, not too difficult and fit well with the theme. We escaped and felt the end was satisfying. The room was unique enough to feel like we were doing something new but not too difficult to progress and complete. I would totally recommend this.
The Terminal
Intrepid Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
Game is very solid and great for those new to escape rooms. Seasoned players may find this a bit easy but the room is done very well and keeps with the theme. I think just a couple more puzzles would make this room a fuller experience as we still had 20 min left on the clock. Also, the ending was a bit lackluster. We were standing around for a bit not knowing if we had escaped or if we still needed to complete something to leave the room. Overall a good experience though. Was nice to knock an escape room down with no clues and plenty of time to spare.
The Prison
Fox in a Box Chicago
Escape room
IRL
Did the Prison during our visit to Chicago. The 4 of us had a great time escaping and Jo was an excellent GM. Very enthusiastic and welcoming. Puzzles were fun and intuitive. Really have to communicate well to get out of this one. But that made it even more exciting. A good hint system where you can choose to use it or not but also for well with the theme. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something to do with friends or family while in the city.
The Manor
Entangled Orange
Escape room
IRL
Puzzles were great. A lot of it made sense and the hint system keeps with the theme if you happen to need a nudge here or there. We enjoyed the flow of the room and the immersion from the start. A little spooky vibe but nothing scary. Was an excellent room for the 4 of us.
Framed for Murder
Entangled Orange
Escape room
IRL
The room was a bit tough for our team of 4. A bit of reading involved which tends to cause us to read through things too fast at times with the added pressure of the clock winding down. What made this room great though was the excellent voice acting by our GM Corey to provide us hints by request. It was very entertaining and kept so well with the theme. Even though we requested more nudges than we wanted to, we found ourselves smiling and enjoying the game much more than expected because of the unique puzzles and immersiveness of the talent. I think this is a really good room to do here. Not scary at all.
The Hex Room
Cross Roads Escape Games
Escape room

This was a lot of fun and a split start room, which I always enjoy doing. It's very unique as you could come back and replay this game in a different role. A spooky vibe with a sense of urgency to get out of this room, which made it very immersive. What I would suggest is be sure to read and fill out the questionaire thoroughly to let the GM know if there are any imparement or mobility issues and give you the best experience possible. Great teambuilding room. I highly recommend and we plan to come back again just for this room!
