For years, paranormal hunters have tried to eradicate the unearthly existence of the vampire. You have joined the hunt and now stand in the shadow of Bran Castle, home of The Last Vampire. Find the fiend responsible for so much death, and end his dark domain once and for all. Darkness falls in 60 minutes…hurry! For centuries, the poor town of Berchtesgaden, Bavaria has been terrorized by Astaroth, the Last Known Vampire. Benjamin Van Calson, the bravest Vampire Hunter in all the land, was the town’s only hope at destroying this bloody-thirsty villain. However, Benjamin met his demise at the hands of Astaroth in 1809 and his stake is said to be on display within the walls of Bran Castle, the Vampire’s evil lair. It is now the fall of 1821 and the little town of Berchtesgaden’s population is shrinking by the day, as The Vampire picks them off one by one for his nightly feast. With hope dwindling, they have summoned you, Bavaria’s smartest paranormal hunters, to help infiltrate Bran Castle and destroy the Vampire forever. It is your mission, with the aid of the servants forever trapped inside, to find Astaroth’s four weaknesses and retrieve Benjamin’s beloved stake in order to destroy this creature forever and save the town from extinction. Night falls in 60 minutes and Astaroth will awaken for his next feeding! Hurry!**

This room was spooky but super fun! Really enjoyed this one and it was pretty difficult as it took a group of 4 of us who are all very experienced in escape rooms longer then we thought it would have. But we did end being 9th place on the weekly leaderboard. You may not escape this one so be prepared but if you do the ending has a cool surprise!

Incredible experience. Hard to find another room as good in the area. Excellent atmosphere, great cluing and tough but logical puzzles. The platonic ideal of an escape room.

Really fun room and the time just flew by. A lot of good reveals and decent variety of puzzles to work on as a group of all experience levels. Be prepared for a few scares :)

This was my favorite escape room that I have ever done. Had a lot of intriguing aspects that were challenging and required teamwork. The light aspect made the game flow easy. Would highly recommend.

This is my favorite room at encrypted. I have played it twice, the first time was a group of 4 coworkers and we killed it. We had so much fun getting through everything and loved the theming of the puzzles and general surroundings everything flowed so well together. The second time around I watched my group (more coworkers) play and even from an outside perspective it was a lot of fun watching everyone experience it, you notice something new every time and there’s never a dull moment in this room. I would say it is for the more experienced as it was complex but win or lose it’s a game you are gonna want to add to your escape room bucket list.
I loved the game mechanic of “following the light”, it made the flow easy to follow and highlighted our next task (literally)

Teen age would be acceptable, I would say it is a little spooky but there are no live actors and at any age if they are okay with the dark and loud noises, sudden movement, and smaller spaces I would say you’re fine
35 escape rooms
This is the hardest room at encrypted escape but I would highly recommend. If you have forms of experience throughout other rooms, this room would be great but isn’t for first timers. Some aspects of this room were very difficult and stumped us at some points. It was very interesting on how encrypted escape spun this room and how they adapted everything they learned from their other rooms into this one room. Very impressive
One of the aspects of this room allowed the puzzles the flow and kept you out of puzzles that we’re not ready to be solved
Props and the atmosphere of the room really allowed you to feel like you were in a mid evil castle. It was very impressive and immersive within the standards of escape room
Staff was great and made you feel wanted and welcome right as you came in the door

Some light aspects made the room very interesting and some of the puzzles made it feel different from any other escape room I’ve done
The plot of this room was very memorable with the spookiness of the atmosphere and the story was carried out throughout the entire room
