A fascinating idea, but the execution is underwhelming. Only the “Resistance” storyline was available for play, and it does still seem to be in Beta at this stage. No announced date for the room’s opposing narrative to debut. Perhaps in its final form, with everything operational, it will stick the landing. As is, it’s a cool room at first sight, but has some tedious gameplay. It has such potential!
Too much Video Game in this Escape Room.
This definitely evoked being in a tiny Tokyo apartment. We followed the “Resistance” story; the room provides a choice between 2 narratives.
The GM was too hands-on. We asked for hints twice. We got about 25, in an effort to move us along. A nice touch: we were given water bottles at the end of the game.

The promise of the “Neon Tokyo” promo art goes largely unfulfilled.
Perhaps the gimmick of having 2 opposing storylines has diluted what would otherwise be 1 strong presentation?
