There was a part that wasn’t working correctly and after 10 minutes of doing what we were supposed to there was nothing from the GM. We had to call the GM a couple of times for a hint(mentioning we don’t think it’s working), which was to do exactly what we were doing..then after calling out to them again they said we have to insert correctly after 20minutes the GM came in and said “like this” and then stopped and said “oh guess there is something wrong”

This game was a downgrade of the previous game in the same space, The Contraption, which had a number of secondhand puzzles that didn’t function properly or work with the room’s theme. The addition of a couple puzzles and the removal of some of the broken props under a new name did not improve gameplay to the point where I would consider it a new game. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but if I were a first timer to escape rooms and had this as my first experience, I would not wish to play any other games.
The same props as the previous game they had opened with, plus some new ones that were actually more broken than the ones that were removed. Didn’t feel cohesive as a theme, story was not an effective vehicle for the puzzles.
The game operator was belligerent and made clear that he wasn’t actually paying attention to the game, and made jokes about how he was actually just watching videos on his phone. Hints given were not relevant to gameplay.
