Set in 1935 Chicago, a beloved philanthropist has been murdered, and his widow has hired the city’s leading Private Eye, Ed Miller, to find out who did it. As Miller got close to solving the case, the local crime syndicate headed to his office to “persuade” the detective to engage in less murder solving, mostly by way of “not bein’ alive as much as he usually is.” Ed was able to lure the henchmen from his office, giving you and your fellow gumshoes an hour to find all the evidence he had collected, and solve the Vandergrift murder. You’ll have to work fast if you’d like to escape without facing the business end of a Tommy gun.

Overall this room was well built and very neat. That being said, our success (or lack thereof) hinged on one clue that we simply could not hear. It was beyond aggravating to have solved everything else and not be able to solve the room because we couldn’t hear something.

This room was a ton of fun and very well-designed. The puzzles were clever and impressively well-constructed, and they'd clearly put a lot of attention into the room's theme and ambiance. There's a strong tobacco smoke smell in just the NOIR game area that fit the theme well, but one of our party members had scent sensitivities and initially wasn't sure she'd be able to stay in the room long enough to complete the game. Be careful about this one if you know that's an allergy/migraine trigger/etc for you. You're never locked in though, and it's possible to step outside if you need to. [A mild spoiler: you do eventually move into areas without the smoke smell, so there's in-game respite as well.] I'd highly recommend this room and look forward to trying their other one.

Somewhat
There's a strong tobacco smell in most of the game area that could be an allergy or migraine trigger. The entire room is in black and white, so color blindness is not an issue at all. Clues are delivered over the in-game telephone. Navigating a wheelchair around some of the game area and interacting with some puzzles while seated might be difficult.

One of the best and most interestingly detailed rooms we’ve played. Great flow of puzzles, brilliant attention to detail
Flowed beautifully
