Wished we liked it, great concept, moderate difficulty, great narrator/hint giver concept however SEVERAL broken/not working puzzles, rude staff, and a puzzle that blatantly goes against the “don’t force anything open” warnings.

Had high hopes for this room based off the reviews here, its nominations for TERPECA, and its inclusion on the year end list for MORTY but with those high hopes came a massive let down. The set design and immersion within the room were great (though the in-game narrator was overly difficult to understand and slow in speech — a fact acknowledged by the GM prior to the game saying she could repeat anything we missed if needed). The first puzzle was a fun hands on interaction that makes you wonder “am I supposed to do this” in a good way but the room goes downhill from there. The GM had to tell us a secret door opened because it didn’t open automatically — that break in immersion really hurts a game like this. There was a lack of puzzles as most of the room was searching for keys and scroll pieces with keys leading to more pieces until you can attempt the final puzzle. The build up most certainly doesn’t pay off (even if it was functioning). The final puzzle didn’t work though, so after solving it, staring it at, asking for hint, and saying we already did what the hint stated, only then did the GM enter and say “oh actually you escaped and the puzzle is simply broken but only my manager knows how to reset it.” Another lock in the room was left unlocked from the previous group who completed the room the night before. Just all around, a frustrating experience that I wouldn’t recommend

Very cool set design and props really makes this room very immersive. Fun experience that can be spooky and really makes you feel part of the storyline.
