You wake up in a barbershop with no recolection of how you got there. Problem: You are no longer in 2018 but some time in the 19th century! You quickly realize that you are trapped by an ingenious mad man who masters the art of time travel. He chose you as his guinea pigs… His challenge which he presents to you? Locked in the barbershop of the infamous serial killer Sweeney Todd, you must escape before he returns or you might be his next daily special.

We played right after the room upgrades, and it was an ideal experience! We were able to escape with time on the clock and no help. The puzzles were clever, and the flow was good.

This was a nice room. It’s on the smaller side, but the space is utilized effectively. I definitely felt like I was in an old school barber shop. The GM was friendly , funny, and in character throughout the game. The biggest issue for my team was that there was no way to ask for hints. The GM monitored our game and offered hints if they felt we needed them. There were moments when my team wanted more assistance, but we couldn’t initiate it because we had to wait for the GM to reach out to us first. There was also no timer to tell us how much time had elapsed. The inability to ask for hints, plus the lack of a timer really impacted our ability to pace the game properly.
