Once upon a time there was a puppeteer who traveled the country with his theater. Unfortunately, he wasn't particularly successful. He was only just able to keep his head above water until one day he met a talking doll. He was able to persuade her to perform with him, and with her help, he was finally able to live a lavish life. The world was at their feet, but fate was not kind to the puppeteer and so one day the talking puppet disappeared with all his earnings. Desperate, the puppeteer tried to build a talking puppet himself, but all his efforts failed. Desperation turned madness, and the once-kind puppeteer hatched a mad, malicious plan - instead of trying to breathe new life into an inanimate puppet, he could just take real people and make them puppets. He chooses the city of Kiel, the location of his last performance, to look out for suitable victims. In the next few days, puppeteers will be beating the drums for a truly “phenomenal theater play” all over the world. It doesn't take long for the first spectators to enter the puppeteer's legendary and talked-about theater in this historically fascinating port city on the Baltic Sea coast. The performance will start in an hour, and the seats in the theater will quickly fill up with a large number of interested guests. However, a group of the first visitors have disappeared under mysterious circumstances and can no longer be found. Whats become of you? Will the insane puppeteer's outrageous plan work out and turn the missing visitors into his mindless marionettes forever? The answer to these questions and the liberation from captivity is now in your hands and time is against you...
20 escape rooms
Although some of the puzzles were unique and creative, they weren’t coherent to the theme and they didn’t really make sense within the story. The progression of the puzzles was also very linear and wouldn’t be great for teams of more than 3; I played in a team of 4 and there was usually at least one person who was idling at each stage. Overall not a cohesive escape room but the 2 newcomers I played with did enjoy it so while myself and my partner didn’t like the theming and structure of it, it did its job.
