An ok room! We had a much better experience in this one than in the Bastille despite playing with one fewer player than intended. They have kept their affinity for locks and keys in this room however, so make sure you keep them organized! The room consists of several small independent puzzles that provide solutions for a line of locks that block the final key. Quite a nice design that results in the line of locks acting as a makeshift progress bar that gives you an idea of how far you are from the end of the room. The setting looks like La Belle Epoque although it isn't super developed. Probably my favorite aspect is that they actually installed a chalk blackboard for note-taking. The story is similarly quite barebones. It reminds me a bit of the escapes rooms we played in Craiova, but I think the puzzles there were better. None of the puzzles here are super memorable and they all feel quite gimmicky, copy-pastable into lots of other escape rooms and not particularly tied to the theme. The last puzzle is clever in that they got it to work in both French and English, but it requires a teensy bit of outside knowledge, so make sure you know what the planets of the solar system are named after! Given the theme of the room, Ana picked up an Eiffel Tower charm to celebrate 50 escape rooms played and almost one year of living in Paris. 🥳
