This room has some really awesome puzzles! We loved it and had a blast!!

A Gen 1.5 room done well! Though most content is gated with padlocks, there are some clever and unique puzzles that require some memorable interactions. Some of the set dressing ventured into red herring territory, but all the puzzles require more than just making wild guesses and were fair. It’s a small and simply decorated room, but it is enjoyable! :)
There were a variety of different puzzle types, though most lead to a combo or key lock. Gameplay was fairly linear. Some puzzle solutions called for novel interactions. At times, it was unclear which key/solution went where. Overall, a fun game, though nothing to write home about.
While it looked like a warden’s office, it definitely wasn’t anything special aesthetically. That said, there are a couple puzzles that are fairly unique and utilize common items in novel ways.
Very nice staff! Great to talk to!
No
I liked how many puzzles were thematically linked to the thin story. Even though the story didn’t offer much, the puzzles feeling in-world helped!
Medium
Some puzzles’ solutions were hidden in plain sight but were surrounding by traditional “red herring” decorations.
Mechanical
Mostly mechanical with maybe one higher-tech puzzle.
2
It’s one small room, so there’s not too much for a large group.
Not scary
Yes
One puzzle was essentially solved upon entry, due to its unique nature. A small tweak should prevent this for future rooms.

Signed up for this room not realizing it was the same room we played at Gilbert Escape Rooms. That said it is generally enjoyable, though small. A couple of very clever puzzles to enjoy, but also one in particular that is just tedious arithmetic. We had a tech fail on the final puzzle in that it opened with the wrong code - meaning that we wound up skipping right over 3 puzzles. Rather than say “we had a prop failure” the GM just came in with “congratulations, you won…” which just felt wrong. It was their newest room, and I believe we were among the first to play it. They’re clearly ironing out wrinkles, and we wound up having a long talk with the host about how the game needs to be tweaked and polished.
