Special Ops: Mysterious Market

Very few rooms are as immersive as this experience. You begin in a very realistic Moroccan Market (spices, tile pattern, glass doors on market stores (I’ve spent weeks in Morocco), the props are obviously authentic to the region and the happenstance solutions are realistic and keep you in the game. Once the plot twist occurs, the game becomes what was promised, Ops with of course more twists and turns. It was fantastic and gave legit Mission Impossible Vibes with the tasks and tech. I’d play it again just to live in Spy Universe for another hour.

This is easily our favorite game we’ve done at The Escape Game. The atmosphere and gameplay in the first half of the room was fantastic. Really great use of space. There were some neat tricks/mechanics and it was just a super fun experience all around. Daniel was FABULOUS and took really great care of us. Definitely recommend this one.

We enjoyed the first half more than the second. There were a few elements that were not quite working, a broken knob and a touchscreen that was glitchy that took away from the experience a bit, but overall we still enjoyed.

I really enjoyed the first half of this escape room. Physical objects and physical puzzles were great, unfortunately being a “spec ops” mission it basically turned into a video game for the second half and was a lot more techy.

Walking into this room I was excited to see how the theme would play into the room. I thoroughly enjoyed the set design here and how it played on a black ops type of mission. Though after the first room the experience seemed to drop out from under it. With most of it being centered around a single screen with a lot of back and forth I can see how this can be a bit monotonous for some players. The story did not carry through. It wasn’t clear exactly what our goal was in the last portion and I was left confused on what side we were on. One bug turn down though was the time not allowing for the multiple videos that play during the room that go on for sometimes over a minute. Overall though it is certainly not a bad room it just has some things that make it a little hard to love.

Special Ops was such a fun room. Very high quality and the puzzles were difficult but not too difficult to solve. Don’t want to say more so too not ruin it but I would say this room is a must to do. Also gonna do this one again because was kinda confused how I even managed to solve it with all the puzzles and fun.
