The year is 1940, and the city of Chicago has shown its dark underbelly. You've been called in to help solve a case for the Noir Detective Agency. This fully black and white room will be sure to make you feel like you're walking right into the middle of a 40's film noir movie. Aided by a mysterious stranger, your detective skills will be put to the test. Will you be able to sift through the evidence, examine the suspects and nab the culprit in time? Noir consists of two episodes that each take the full hour. Both episodes are 100% unique with their own story, a different crime to solve and their own puzzles. Let your game master know which episode you are playing when you arrive!

Had fun. Great atmosphere. Lot of number type of locks but I didn’t mind that here. Some tech. Story was cool. Definitely enjoyable room.
Decent gameplay. There was quite a bit of math involved to get the final solutions but even though I’d normally hate that, i didn’t mind it all that much here.
Awesome atmosphere. I kept talking to myself like a 50’s gangster detective.
Isiah was awesome and helpful.

Just a little bit different as you’re a detective. Puzzle solving isn’t interesting but I didn’t mind it.
Great story.
Medium
Puzzle solving was simple to medium. Not hard but not super easy either.
High tech
Mostly locks but some cool tech. Youngsters beware of the old school phone hahaha.

I did it solo but 2 experienced people would do fine. 4-6 newbies.

A couple of puzzles could be impossible for hearing impaired. They might be able to modify with some addl papers. Wheelchair access should be fine if not pretty cramped around the desk part.

What a great space! The atmosphere was fantastic! The set design, the props and classic soundtrack were all top notch. I can't wait to do episode 2.

Love, love, loved this room! So fun and immersive. Different from others I’ve done and all of the puzzles were fantastic!
So we’ll done! The Clues flowed perfectly and everything worked seamlessly!
PERFECT! Super immersive!
The owner greeted us and helped us the whole time. Super helpful and awesome!

So incredibly fun. It’s so detailed and the puzzles flow beautifully. The props and room itself are just stunning. Worth every penny!
It was extraordinarily detailed, one of the best I’ve ever seen as far as atmosphere. I truly felt like I was wandering around a noir film!

In this setting you are put in a timeline where it was only black and white. You can either choose episode 1 or 2. But we did 1 . The story is pretty immersive which was awesome.

Two (soon to be three) experiences that take place in the same physical space. (An idea which fascinates me from a game design perspective.) The set was just that of an office building - desk, file cabinet, etc. But done completely in black and white, which while a small thing does wonders for the immersion. As does the 1940s soundtrack playing on the radio. You wind up feeling like you’re in a classic Film Noir. Episode 1 felt a little like it was designed for kids. The game game would direct you what to do next at each step. “Now use the clues in these pictures to eliminate two of the suspects…” All of which could be removed as far as I’m concerned and the game would still function well. That said, I’d still recommend playing it. Episode 2 did not have that “hand-holding” vibe at all though. Had a bit of a richer story and some repeat characters, which was nice. Very clever to see the same components used in different ways, as well as how they clued which things to stay away from because they were part of the other case. I will definitely be back for Episode 3.

All around good room. Very linear, and felt like the room was just kind of guiding you places, small rooms, but good usage of space.
