The first book printed in Portugal was made in Faro, on the 1487. It is a religious work called “Pentateuch”. The only known copy its first edition is at the British Library, London. It was taken by Francis Drake when his army attacked and looted Algarve's capital on late 16th century. What Francis Drake didn’t know, was the relevance of a loose component, a lost piece which stayed behind. That piece had indications that helped the people to run away when the city was surrounded.
