The Last Experiment

Though not open, when we played this game a couple years back we had a great time! Well put together, and Josef made sure we enjoyed every second of our experience.

The Last Experiment feels like a step down from Zoe which is Escapade Games other room. The room itself is fun and the actors play their roles extremely well but the room leaves a bit to be desired after experiencing how great Zoe plays with the atmosphere and truly makes you feel like you are in a horror movie. This room on the other hand has puzzles that are a bit more elaborate but does not really bring the same excitement that Zoe did when first played.

We played this room years ago and it felt like we were paid beta testers. We were stuck with a public group which sucked and the actors were still learning the story themselves. I think we were paranormal investigators? My husband was so confused, he thought he had to chase the scientist lol. It was a mess, but again, it was a freshly done room. Maybe they got it together since then, but I feel like you shouldn’t open a room until you’re positive your actors and everyone understand how the room should run.

This room wasn’t terrible, but I didn’t think it was good. From the minute we got there it was just confusing. Some of the puzzles were fun, but overall, this room doesn’t stand out in any aspect.

This wasn’t the worst room my team and I have done, but I unfortunately didn’t care for it. The staff tried to be super immersive from the beginning, and I think we weren’t expecting that so it just made for a very awkward start (we hadn’t done many other escape rooms before this one). The puzzles themselves were a bit confusing, but the overall mission of what we were supposed to do wasn’t exactly clear. The ending was also very anticlimactic and disappointing. :/

Zoe was a lot of fun , this one fell a tad short but still a good room

This room was frustrating. My team and I were expecting a lot after completing Zoë, which has questionable quality puzzles but is made fun by the live actors and immersion. This room did not have those aspects to redeem it. Instead, the room was over-decorated with red-herrings everywhere, and the clue system was not fully developed forcing us to open the door of the room to receive help. In addition, I found out later that we were actually lied to by the staff of this room. I heard from other escape room enthusiasts that the staff tells everyone they made the leaderboard. Probably as a last-ditch effort to make their game memorable. We were also told by staff that the room was new and “only opened a few weeks ago” when in fact it is a couple years old. I would recommend the Zoë room but definitely not this one.

Escapade really executed this game well, in conjunction with their other room “Zoe”. Both games were astounding and really enjoyable. Great storyline and puzzles as well
