Is this an escape room? Sure. Why not. Haha. More details in the breakdown, but what I’ll say is we got to experience this in CM previews last winter and I was truly blown away. As not a big follower of the Star Wars franchise (I know🙈), the story is set up in a way that characters and their roles are easily followed. Coupling the tasks with your role and Disney story telling, we were thoroughly in awe. I can’t comment on the experience being worth the price, seeing as though we had the opportunity to experience the Galactic Starcruiser courtesy of CM previews in a condensed 7-hour experience. All I can say is that we enjoyed EVERY moment; having left with jaws on the floor and chills down our spine.
For the puzzles that we got to experience, they were well integrated into the storyline and the role we played as well. Not to mention they were highly interactive and actually very well done. We could’ve kept playing the same puzzles/tasks all night! What I also loved was the variety of offerings. We were split into different roles/stations which involved different variations of the tasks geared to your specific role in a highly immersive and detailed setting.
Really enjoyed the dynamic design of the hotel/experience. There were levels, intricate details and diverse environments - each with their own unique offerings. What was especially great was the fact that the rooms of the hotel blended so well with the design of the “ship” and the experience is seem less from beginning to end. All story elements take you on a journey to explore every new space, which feels ever-unfolding and expansive!
The CMs were SO intelligent in their characters and delivery. Each played a role in the immersive hotel experience, as well as having massive roles in the presentation of the plot. Getting the chance to mingle with some of them is an extra bonus, because it really puts you right into the conflict by building these relations, then seeing them interacting on a Disney production scale. SO COOL.
Yes
An experience I’ll never forget.
We experienced a CM preview for a period of 7-8 hours. During this time, we got a brief taste of what the weekend-long experience entails (of course in a more expedited manor). The exposition-like check in period was a smart choice in design as an opportunity to meet the characters and interact before the plot hits! The experience flowed EXTREMELY well, the performances were truly spectacular and the story was impressive - to say the least.
Easy
The tasks are briefed with thorough instruction, geared towards family markets. It is a Disney experience, after all! BUT the challenges were more interactive, which made them equally as engaging IMO.

BRAVO to the cast, creative crew and all those involved. We got to experience this in previews, but it truly felt 100%. 👏 👏 👏
