Our date night at the Hidden Gems Escape Room was nothing short of amazing! The experience was both challenging and fun, with puzzles that really got our brains working. The immersive environment added a thrilling layer to the adventure, making us feel like we were part of an exciting laboratory experiment while on the hunt to find the answers. It was the perfect way to bond and create lasting memories together. We can't wait to return for another adventure!

I was impressed with how well this escape room was put together, and especially with how kid-friendly/-accessible it was without being childish. Plenty of puzzles for the grown-ups to solve with the little ones helping π

Overall, one of the best rooms in Richmond and weβve done them all. Owners were great and stayed after closing to chat about their background and location and room designs.
Game flowed well.
The lab setting was very close to what a real lab would contain and could contain.
Owners/operators at this establishment were the GMβs and were very welcoming
Yes
Easily the best lab themed room weβve done ever and having done over 200 rooms over the years, still would rank in top 10%. Furthermore, for the Richmond area, is in top five locally.
Story line was great, though plot line was a little lacking in some creative aspects.
Hard
I would recommend this more a more seasoned group if smaller (2-3) and would probably still recommend larger groups (4+) have at least one person having more of a scientific understanding or at least a higher level of critical thinking.
High tech
Use of the door key pads, computers, and the mechanical elements was a great touch to keep patrons immersed.

Since my wife and I typically only do rooms by ourselves, while weβre still were able to escape, thereβs a lot of room to cover.

Recommendation is to have at least one person in the group to be able to use a computer and understand elements on the periodic table.

There was a few times where you had to go from room to room (3 rooms in total for this game), though it was not like you were crawling through small places or anything.

A little hard to find this place as it is kind of tucked away in a corner of the strip mall.

Parking near entrance.

This room really puts you into that laboratory setting with puzzles using a little mad science to get you the answer. Our group had a great time with the room and our GM. Easily one of my top 3 rooms now.

The room was written by the company owners and the care and attention to details were apparent every step of the way

Iβm not sure the difference, but lab equipment was used.

Elixir Inc. Was a great room. I have played science/lab rooms before and not been impressed but this one really blew me away. You get to actually mess with objects and tools in the lab and you feel like you are really there. Very clever lab designed puzzles and story. I can tell lots of effort went into this room. I recommend this room for both new players and enthusiasts alike. Super fun will be back to try their new rooms!

This room was so cool! My partner and I were excited for the new escape room in Richmond and it does not disappoint. The attention to detail on the design is AWESOME, and it felt like there were enough puzzles to keep us both entertained the full hour! I also love any room that is a mix of both movie magic and traditional locks so this was spot on for me!
Very cool room lots of space! Puzzles feel challenging throughout, without being impossible!
Lots of attention to detail!!!
The new owners are the nicest people!!

Small business so everything is built on site and feels more interactive.
Very cool! Easy to follow!

With just 2 of us we definitely had some difficulty at some spots, but thatβs what we prefer!
