Countdown The Pirate’s Curse 🏴☠️ 🔐 July 26, 2022 An interesting location. History here as the Titanic room was Mike’s first ever escape room. The room had a mix of good themeing and ideas and not good themeing. One of my pet peeves is when it is an older room (time period) or pirate and the locks are not themed for it. There were a lot of modern locks in here. As an aside there were also a bunch we didn’t use that we’re keeping things secured, however they were themed nicely. There were some tech things that took you out of the pirate theme. Some of the locks were very warn down and hard to read. Using black lights and store bought stars is a bit lazy. Overall the theme was ok. There were some very cool things. Some of the things could have still been used, but maybe they could have been disguised a bit better to keep you that moment. Overall the puzzles were not to difficult, and there were some really neat ideas, however our GM (the owner) liked to talk and did quite a bit and the race felt like it was not against the clock but against him giving us an answer at times. Shout outs (because we all know that’s what we are waiting for) Mike using his catch phrase. “That’s to much work” and then walking away to work on something else. But also for measuring a clue! Jessica Martinez for being able to see color, playing dress up and being a peeping Tom! IYKYK I was happy to stand and make faces when Mike would try to look into the peep holes, I pushed buttons and found where X marks the spot! We escaped! 38:04 🗝🗝🗝
