6 escape rooms
I very much enjoyed this room. It was my first experience, and looking back, it was an amazing first room.
The gameplay was amazing. There were so many great puzzles.
The atmosphere was great. It was well lit, the props were amazing, and the different rooms were incredible.
The staff was friendly.
No
No, nothing was broken. The room was very well maintained.
4 escape rooms
This is the Escape Room that first time escapees in Maine should do. Perfect for a group of 4 or 5. Puzzles are largely riddle/brainteaser style with some easier mechanical puzzles mixed in. Light fun!
Good game flow. Didn’t need too many hints. If we had followed the directions (and that was totally on us), we wouldn’t have needed one clue. These clues are common escape room fare, so if you do them a lot, you will likely find this one pretty easy.
There is one spectacular magic moment and the rest of the room feels very “old Maine cabin” but in a way that totally enhances the experience. If you know, you know. Great sound effects and props that feel perfectly in place.
The GMs at Maine Escape Games are always fun and professional and helpful. They are a good crew.
No
No but also yes. Game play was fantastic if you’re new to escape rooms or looking for something not super brain burning. If you are a veteran escaper, this one is not probably going to give you too many surprises
Easy to follow story with a simple theme. Could definitely imagine a crazy uncle in Maine hiding treasure in this fashion so there is an element of realism to this one.
Easy
I wish this had been my first escape room.
Mechanical
Not as sophisticated as some of the other rooms at this location, but it without its own wow surprises.

Not scary
This is a very family friendly room.

This is an older room though so it’s starting to show it’s age.

Not at all
There was one puzzle requiring throwing, which was tricky because we are not super good at throwing.
Mood lighting made it a bit hard to read some of the smaller writing but most of the puzzles were of a good size and easy to manipulate. Two puzzles rely on color. One of the quieter rooms, so good for folks with hearing issues. There are narrower rooms and areas with step ups. Some puzzles that require reaching or stretching.
