You've booked the trip of a lifetime: a cross-continental journey on The Breakout Express. As the train winds through beautiful countryside, news spreads of an uproar in the locomotive car. Radicals have taken control of the conductor’s cabin, planted explosives, and the train is racing towards a non-stop destination in the heart of the city: Central Station. Gain entry to the conductor's cabin, stop the train, and free the passengers before time runs out. Can you engineer a last-minute escape?

Simple yet amazing. I had lots of fun and will definitely be coming back. The puzzles and story were both fun. All the clues here made sense and the room itself was nicely designed. We managed to escape (that’s always rewarding) wedidn’t know it at the time but one of the clues she provided was a pinnacle moment to our game… we would’ve been lost in the sauce without it.
Everything made sense. There have been times in escape rooms where some puzzles or the way in which I feel like the clues/game is pushing me doesn’t align well with the overall story and was added in to just be another fun puzzle (they’re still enjoyable… I just be lost sometimes), that was not the case for this room. Every puzzle made sense and the story flowed very well.
They managed to utilize the small space they had to it’s best potential. Although the game stayed in one room, it remained interesting and captivating the whole time. Being from a state that doesn’t usually use trains as a mode of transport I don’t know how reliable my opinion is but the vibes was very much so giving train cart/carriage/space…
All the employees I met were honestly so nice and delightful people. Mak checked us in and was very sweet and accommodating. Montana was our GM she was amazing. Best voice in the sky I’ve ever heard both funny and helpful.
Yes
Most of the locks and puzzles led to the standard locks you see in more first gen rooms, but there were other components that I have yet to see in other games. Just like the majority of things you complete leading to your standard combination locks, the complexity of the room is self was simple nothing over the top. This might sound like it’s regular vanilla but no this vanilla is vanilla bean 🤌🏼.
Very much so memorable. The whole shabang including both the game and the staff.
Medium
Although there were parts that really stumped us… due to the fluidity of the story and our GM we manage to escape.
Mixture but mostly mechanical.
Anywhere from 2-4 (maybe more but I feel like that’d be too much for me personally.
Not scary
One part made me jump though.
