Onboard the famous trans-European Budapest Express, you are with Karine Peaufiner, a famous French detective from Paris. You are traveling to Budapest to meet with other detectives showcasing the latest developments in crime scene forensics. It is nighttime and you are passing slowly through the heart of Europe during a heavy snowstorm. You are reviewing case notes in your cabin with Karine and your colleagues. Suddenly there is a knock at the door, it is the train manager. He looks worried and asks you to come quickly to the First Class dining coach. When you arrive, you see a man slumped over a restaurant table. He was Sir Clarence Hayden and he has been murdered! The manager informs you that in one hour the train will stop at the next station, if the killer hasn’t been apprehended, they will be free to escape into the night and get away with this horrible crime! Your reputation as brilliant detectives precedes you, he asks you to solve the crime so the murderer can be caught and brought to justice. You’re able to narrow down 5 suspects who were seen in the dining car around the time Sir Clarence was murdered. Moving through the cabins and gathering evidence, the killer knows you are hot on their trail and has decided you are their next target. With you out of the picture, they would be free to escape when the train stops. Solve the riddles and puzzles, gather the evidence and solve the murder before it’s too late! Do you have what it takes to find the killer before they find you? Time is of the essence!

I enjoyed it, but some important puzzles can really only be done by like 2 players at most, which ends up leaving the rest of the party unsatisfied/left out (I was one of the 2). I think one of the room resetters messed up one of the puzzles which actually happened a previous time I came to this location.

Game utilizes advanced puzzles that are sure to make you stop in your tracks. Make sure you pay attention to where you find things for this will be helpful later. We were poorly prepared, thankfully my partner plays murder mystery games on his phone. But to any unknowing patrons I feel pitty.

Overall our game master was awesome, room was ok, partly on our part for not doing as told to pay attention to where we got puzzle pieces and such but the game master helped steer us and we got back on track. Simplistic and what I would expect of a chain type escape experience

Least favorite room to date. We would figure out what needs to be done to solve the puzzles, but the execution was overly complicated and not fun. I wouldn't recommend it.

Adventurers beware: make sure you keep track of where you found EVERYTHING because you will need it for the final task. We had all of our clues scattered everywhere and had to ask our game master where we found things. We ended up escaping but it was very close. The set is really pretty and definitely makes you feel like you are on a train. Make sure to show up a bit early because parking can be a nightmare.

Game masters ignored us in the room multiple times. They forgot to start the game so we were in there for 10 mins just waiting for them to start the video intro. Halfway through the game we tried to ask for hints and were ignored several times. Because of this we were stuck on a puzzle for longer than we really needed to be. The set design was great in the first room but the others were bland and boring. The puzzles were low tech and pretty average. We didn’t end up finishing the room and we’re trying to understand what we missed but the game master was not knowledgeable about the room at all. We tried to ask them simple questions like where the key was for one of the locks and they just didn’t know. We suspected they set the room up wrong because we were missing vital information. Overall the worst escape room experience I’ve ever had.

I liked the concept and the theme. This room is unlike any other I’ve done because you need to pay attention to where things are in the room…better to not move things around as much as I do in other rooms. You can mess things up so much that it can make this room nearly impossible to get out of. This room is great for 2 people, could see how large groups could make this one hard; not much space to move around also.
