You are a group of travelers who have been kidnapped and taken hostage by foreign traitors to an undisclosed location. They have left to gather supplies, if you do not make it out of the holding room within 60 minutes, the Kidnappers will return and your hostage situation will turn torturous. When the game begins you will be handcuffed , which is totally optional.

Wow. Talk about intense. And FUN. This room apparently has about a 6% completion rate in all the years it’s been open. I love love love a challenge. So two of us did it to see just how hard it is. We were also honestly told by the GM before booking that having only two players might make things even harder and to maybe, possibly reconsider. The completion rate for this room with groups of two was in the neighborhood of 1-2%. Challenge accepted. This room is old school. Nothing fancy or terribly flashy. But that actually plays to it’s strengths. You’re kidnapped, why would it be high tech? Of course there’s gonna be locks! It’s straight forward, and grounded incredibly well for its theme. You’re playing this for a challenge, and honestly, knowing that beforehand probably made it some of the most fun I’ve ever had in an escape room yet. It was undoubtedly the most focused and intense challenge we’ve faced so far. You like pattern recognition? How about observational puzzles? Math problems? Just how environmentally aware are you? How well do you function under pressure? And do you communicate quickly and well with your teammate(s)? I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s a real litmus test for teamwork. This room’s got it all. A multitude of fun, inspired puzzles, complex brain teasers and everything in-between. Every second counts and if you don’t enjoy working under pressure, I wouldn’t recommend this. If you beat it, it very likely will not be quickly. And yes, we beat it, with roughly 4 or so minutes to spare. That was with basically no dead air or fudging around for almost the entire playtime. We solved puzzles fast. Play this with somewhat-to-very experienced players who like a challenge. It’s a great time. Want a more relaxed outing? Look elsewhere 👀
Simple, but intense. Actually flowed better than most games I’ve played despite having so much to do in the space of time allotted.
Maybe my only peeve but it’s really minor. It’s not really clear what kind of space you’re being held captive in, but that might be mostly due to the age/budget of the room. There’s so much to do that you won’t really think about it for long. There’s plenty of other good theming, surprises and creative puzzles integrated that it more than makes up for the setting.
Great as usual, they’re always awesome here!
Hard
This is a real challenge and not for beginners by a long shot. I’d even lean this somewhere between Hard and Expert. You need to focus, communicate and observe everything, quickly and carefully. Having a fair amount of experience and VERY good understanding of almost every escape room fundamental out there is quite essential to beating this.

We did it with two and beat it. It is a CHALLENGE. Communication is essential. More people may help, or complicate the game unnecessarily. Know your experience and comfort level and and play with experienced players only for a good time.
Not scary
There are two possibly two potentially spooky/upsetting surprises, but not too frightening or off putting. Essential to the story and progression keeping it intense and fun.

Younger players may find the theme not as engaging, and the puzzles too complicated/thinky/boring to get into and enjoy.

Overall, a fun room. Not the best, but good for patient players. Maybe not for first timers.
Once we got going, there was a good flow. There were several locks that required the same kind of code to unlock, but it wasn’t so bad.
Good balance. More fun as you make progress.
Awesome! Really knows his rooms and was super patient with us. Took great care of us so that we felt like we made the right choice in venues.
No
I don’t think it needed more. It was the right level of interesting.
The option to start in handcuffs made it a little more interesting. A few other nods to the theme, but not much.

If we didn’t get stuck twice on silly things, we would have finished.

One funny moment. You’ll be fine.

Only due to theming.
No
But we got stuck on something that should have only taken us a minute. Probably because the item was old.

Vision and color blindness issues would be a deterrent. Room doesn’t accommodate a person in a wheelchair or a larger person.

It was really fun thanks to our GM. My group was stopped at times but once we heard the hunts everything made sense. It was fun and good but at the end of the day nothing really special
