A one room, non linear escape room. Ok storyline and theming quite good with dim lighting. Puzzles were quite good but no wow moments. Some we definitely needed hints for and some props were well used! Out of all the many rooms I have done now, it was ok. Definitely preferred their Operation Odessey room better
Dragon was good feature
Emily was very friendly and helpful

We’d previously escaped Operation Odyssey and loved it. Spellbound was also a fun game but the easier of the two in my opinion. It was definitely suited for smaller groups. The puzzles flowed and the hint system was fun and immersive. Like a lot of rooms in Scotland, story isn’t the main focus and doesn’t drive the room but puzzles were nice and (mostly) made sense with a good variety. There was nothing to distract so it was easy to find what you needed to use in the room making this great for beginners. Our GM, John, was welcoming and friendly and checked if we needed a clue before giving it.
Okay gameplay. Pretty straight forward. Only one puzzle that properly stumped us with its execution.
Nothing that blew us away but looked nice enough and in good condition.
GM John was welcoming and friendly.

We had high expectations after doing Odyssey. Still enjoyable but preferred their other game.
Standard, Merlin v Morgana. Not too much depth but that’s common in UK games in my experience.
Easy
Flow was good so we only got stuck a couple of times and a hint was offered rather than given.
Mechanical
Mix of padlocks and some basic tech that wasn’t hidden.

Overall poor experience okay Game
Each puzzle had a good connection to the next. Gameplay was average due to the story.
Atmosphere was average the main thing that broke immersion is that we could hear everything happening in the room beside us. Each clue word from word. I believe it was the same room as-well which sometimes made it confusing as we didn’t know if the clue was for us or not.
Treatment was overall average. I believe we were possibly the last game in for the night which meant we were rushed out at the end. We also didn’t realise the room was finished at the end as our games master was busy letting another team out and speaking to them so we had a 5 minute gap between finishing and seeing the games master which in turn lead us to believe we weren’t finished and continued exploring the room to be told we had done everything 5 minutes later

Really liked this game, it’s just a one room space but packs a lot in. GM was great giving clues in character, gave a few helpful nudges when we got a bit stuck. Non-linear game which I always like better, meant that we could work on things simultaneously or try a different puzzle when we were stuck on something. Merlin vs Morgana theme with 2 identical rooms, I played just myself and 1 other player so didn’t experience their race game but would be great for those with a larger, competitive group.
