Revolution

This felt appropriate to do during the week of our Independence day. The production of the set design and props are not as grand as some other rooms I’ve done but the room was still fun. This room will probably be better for smaller groups since it follows a linear format even though the space was kinda big. There were a lot of notes to read and parts of the room were kinda dim but there were lanterns provided in the room. There was one finicky lock that wouldn’t open for us even though we had the right combination — our host actually had to come in to assist.

Some of the props are in disrepair, small print, and dark room make it very difficult for older players.

Several props need some refreshing or attention. No way to get the correct code near the end with the faulty prop. Room was dark, some clues were faded. Some red herrings. Staff were friendly though.

A linear flowing room that worked well for the theming.

Our host Sophie was nice. It is a linear room, and the puzzles flowed well. The design of the room was good, but some of the props and details were low quality, there were typos on some of the laminated papers in the room (but that’s just being picky).

Recommended for completionists. It’s a Gen 1 room with fun props and minimal set. There were a few clues towards the end that if modified would improve the puzzles flow.
