We just finished playing Below Zero, Kilgore Cabin, Extraction, and Shipwreck Cove, and I'm reviewing them together because my thoughts are similar on each. The set design is impressive. The rooms are beautiful and fun. These rooms are quite easy though, especially since there's a four person requirement. We played with fellow enthusiasts and escaped with about 25 minutes left. I think that each room really needs 2-4 more puzzles or increased difficulty level on some puzzles. This room was my least favorite of the four. One puzzle repeated multiple times which felt kind of cheap.

I really enjoyed the setting and tech of this room but overall found the puzzles to be a bit lacking in difficulty and did not require much thought.

Crypto rooms are always incredibly immersive and tech heavy. Below Zero is no different. The puzzles and tech were interesting and made for a great story. Played with a group of 6 and we all had something to do.

The escape rooms at Crypto Escape are unmatched in terms of immersion. Their rooms feel as though you are really in the environment it is portraying. This room featured some cool puzzles and is very high tech. Definitely recommend!

Loved the room, had a lot of fun and laughs throughout. The tech is fantastic. No locks in the room and everything we were doing (both in the puzzles and the solving) felt realistic to trying to work on a space ship. My only real complaint is most of the puzzles were in the “communicate with each other” umbrella of puzzles. A more diverse puzzle type would have been more interesting. Otherwise amazing room!

They were okay. Really our only downside of the day was that that GM spoke incredibly quickly and pointed at things so quickly that it was hard to follow what he was try to tell us. Everything just felt like he was going through the motions as he’d done it 1000x before (which he probably had, but doesn’t help when we can’t tell what he’s saying haha)

Zero locks which was super cool. Lots of communication needed. Lots of surprises. It was one of the better rooms we had done for sure!
Story
Most rooms were just really a theme and you unlock a bunch of boxes. This room though you can totally follow the story throughout and we knew exactly why we were doing certain things and choices we were making. Super well done

We had 3 people (had to pay for en extra ticket as minimum is 4) and the only huge difficulty came from not having enough hands at certain points.

This room is super tech heavy, so if technology and sci-fi are your jam, then you will enjoy this room. We played with 4 people, and everyone had something to do; teamwork truly is required. The GMs were super friendly and accommodating. I’m excited to try more rooms from this company!

Crypto is one of our favourite companies and this was one of our favourite rooms. We tend to breeze through their rooms - yet it doesn’t seem like they’re too easy, just that we “get” their thinking. The tech was cute here, as well as the story.
