You and your friends have 60 minutes to find all your gear and put it back together before your mom kicks them out and they all go over to Wade's house.

While acknowledging just how highly rated this room is amongst various escape room communities, we were so thrilled to try our luck in this space; overall, this room was fantastic! But, this wasn't our top-5 favorite for several reasons. First, despite technically being an 80s baby, many of the references just didn't stick. They were fun, novel, and we can totally appreciate that - but we simply didn't know what half of the stuff were lol. Second, I think those references carried into solving of specific puzzles. We did love and appreciate how diverse and tactile some of them were; but because we were caught up on not knowing what we were not knowing what to look/get/understand - it all just felt confusing. We'll admit (because we played 3 games that day), this was a rough day for us in-game, so we needed hints and struggled, but the props, accessories, and design was very fun. Kinda wish we got to see the bonus room...

The atmosphere was incredible - the ambiance, design, and special effects were all top notch.

We can totally appreciate that. Doing multiple rooms in one day can be tough and sometimes draining. That said, the most wonderful thing about Escape Rooms are that they can offer something special to every person. I think that one of the most unique things about ER games is that they can resonate so differently between individuals. Your favorite rooms may be someone else's least favorite and vice versa. Our goals have been to provide high-quality games with enough variety between them that they can offer something unique and special to everyone. No worries about the Bonus though, it's a single puzzle that we bring into the room, not a whole extra room. Thank you for visiting us to play 3 games and for sharing your experience!

Full of 80s nostalgia. Everything from wood paneling to cassette tapes. There are even games you can play that aren't part of the puzzles (labeled as such) that are just extra fun and classic memories.

I personally struggled with this room, however there was a lot of props that fit the theme great but had nothing to do with the gameplay. I felt like I wasted to much time on them. Overall the game was good.

We're happy you enjoyed 8-BIT Escape. I take the blame for all the props in 8-BIT, I just couldn't stop picking up vintage reminders of that golden age. We try to make it clear which pieces are part of the puzzle string, but I also totally get how you can get lost playing or reading with all the things in there. We hope you'll join us again soon for another game!

Gameplay
Set design was great. Totally felt like I was in my friends basement back in 1981 as soon as I walked in. Theme stayed throughout all puzzles.

9.6/10 So good I played it twice. The amount of creativity and work to make the mechanics of this room feel like an 80s kids basement was amazing. Definitely lots of nostalgia, but also just some really cool gameplay. This is the room that was recommended to me to even come try out ERH and they’ve been my top location ever since.

Thank you! We love this room too, (and I loved making it). It'll probably never go away, just like the 80s. We tried to recreate the 80s we remember, with dated carpet, a pattern coach, panel walls, a popcorn ceiling, and the toys we used to play with. I really enjoyed the room and the nostalgia it brought along with it. It’s possible to solve a couple puzzles without finding the clues using only what you know going in. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, it does add to the nostalgia. The room was a bit hot, so it was uncomfortable as I was sweating quite a bit. But all in all….REALLY fun room.

5 stars for the flow of the room. You have a pretty good idea of what you should be working on and when.

Staff was very welcoming. Our GM seemed like a newer GM but she was really putting everything she had into selling the storyline and I appreciated that.
