“I love Boda borg - I’ve been many time, Boda Borg is escape room adjacent but not like a normal escape room. The whole ethos is learning through failing - I’ve spent about 60 hours here and still haven’t seen all the rooms!”

“This room is a puzzle gauntlet! We played as a team of 2, and we BARELY made it. You are constantly asked to think, move, and make connections. This is the most realistic sub game I’ve played, and it offers a crazy event halfway through the game that makes for a very memorable moment. Your brain will be very tired at the end of this!”

“Easily Red Fox’s best game, by far. Incredibly funny and unique storyline, amazing theming, and some of the most fun interactions I’ve ever had in an escape room. The story never drops from start to finish, leaving you totally immersed, and the balance between humor and horror is absolutely perfect. There is some gore in this room, as listed on their website, but it’s nothing too bad, and there’s no jump scares at all. Also the soundtrack is an instrumental of the girl scout song from the Beetlejuice musical so that earns brownie points from me.”

“Loved the flow of the room! We played as a team of 2 and with kind nudges and hints, we made it through. Definitely book in advance to get your choice of rooms. We look forward to doing their other two rooms!”

“The heist theme is so popular and overdone but this was a very well done version. Lots of puzzles. Not overly complex but it’s necessary to spread out so a larger team will be more successful. Communication is key”

“An exceptionally polished room with wonderful theming, non-linear puzzles, magical technology, and no traditional locks. The room encourages deeply out-of-the-box thinking at times, but it always is logical, fair, and fun. The final puzzle is really simple and elegant, a beautiful culmination of all that came before.”

“This game was a weiner! The sets were all immaculate, immersive, and quirky. In the first room alone, you had a hot dog cart, a pay phone, a sewer pipe, an ATM, a buildable brick wall, and a dumpster! This game asks you to make a tremendous amount of connections, practice constant communication, collaborate, and CRAWL! Some elements didn't have an obvious link to their puzzles, but the biggest challenge is the sheer volume of puzzles. I wish the quirky theme carried throughout more of the room, but this is still a very atypical heist. Highly recommend!”

Boston is a city as rich in its history as it is in its modern entertainment attractions. Every year, millions of people descend on the city, eager to experience its historical landmarks, vibrant culture and arts scene, excellent sports teams, and its many restaurants and bars. In addition, the city is home to a number of popular tourist attractions, including the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, and the New England Aquarium. Overall, Boston is a lively and exciting city that offers a wide range of things to see and do, making it a great place to visit for people of all ages.
In recent years, Boston has come alive as a true escape room destination. In fact, Boston is home to nearly 50 different escape room venues and Boston offers a particularly exciting array of escape room experiences that are suitable for all tastes. Storyteller's Secret at Boxaroo is an award winning room that is sure to delight. Red Fox Escape's The Body Shop is another hit that is known for its beautiful set and immersive story. With over 100 escape games in the entire area, the possibilities are nearly endless — you’ll find games with themes of horror, adventure, crime, espionage, and plenty you may not expect.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
