“Great, great experience! The amount of work put into this immersive Escape is 100% something to just experience. You really feel like you are in the movie walking through this. If you are in Vegas, I highly recommend stopping by to check them out!”

“This is more a mix of haunted house with escape room. I think the escape room side probably suffers a bit because in this fusion, but it’s a totally fair trade off in my opinion. Had a blast with the set and atmosphere. Very immersive, the actor added some fun elements and it was quite spooky. Can’t wait to try out IT and Saw as well. Highly recommend for horror enthusiasts.”

“This is one of the more immersive games I’ve played. Great intro to the room, fun actors, very well designed room, cool story, it was all really really great. If you don’t want to be lead through the room/puzzles by the game master, make sure you explicitly request it.”

“Not an escape room, but I can totally see why the escape room community gets so excited about it. It's a massive art installation with enough tiny details that you could come back multiple times. One friend said they preferred it high. We felt like we got the gist after four hours, but we would go back. Recommend the pear soda.”

“Probably one of the most detailed rooms and immersive rooms according to the theme. A fun room for sure. Probably wouldn’t recommend for a group larger than 2 to 3 people though because of the size of some of the rooms with in the game.”

“The live acting and environment was amazing. I don’t usually get scared in an escape room but this was different. One part of my brain knew this wasn’t real. The other part was screaming “run.” I highly recommend this experience.”

“The Escape Room locations are shared experiences with others. It was changed to individual parties during covid but brought back to shared now. I mention that because we did two rooms here. This one was the second one in a row. We escaped the first and then waited 20 minutes and right as we were told we would be going in, they said they had to wait for the rest to show up as they had just booked. 10 minutes later they show up, hadn't read the fine print and were upset about having to share with us. The game master told them and offered a solution of refunding their game and booking another time. Then they discussed for 10 more minutes. All in, we sat there waiting for 40 minutes and ended up doing the room alone. That time wasted was unappreciated. This was my second time going a "The Escape Room" location and the lobbies were nearly identical. Not very themed and pretty boring with some merchandise for sale. Gold Rush was a cool room. This theme/story is reused often however they did a good job of making it interesting. There is one puzzle involving a pellet gun that took us a while to complete because we were over thinking it.”

“This room was great, good mix of mechanical and lock puzzles. Requires good communication at the start. Easily playable with 2 people. Rated hard but for experienced players I would probably say more medium. Don’t play if you’re not good with tight spaces”

“Wow, we loved this room! Top 5 for my partner and I. I will say, the poster recommended 4 people and we can understand why. Despite being rated medium difficulty this room is very puzzle heavy. There is so many unique puzzles and things we have never seen before. Felt like kids in a candy store. Cannot recommend this room enough!”

“Loved the special effects in the room and it had some unique puzzles! Finished the regular room with over 25 minutes left without hints so not all that challenging but the extra puzzles were fun and really kept the two of us in the room moving.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
