“Absolutely incredible room! There's a perfectly good reason why it's in the top 100 rooms in the world! Everything about the room was a pleasant surprise and super creative! I went with a group of 8 and definitely would not recommend. 3-4 players recommend 5 at the max, so that you can be as immersed as possible during this fantastic experience. Definitely planning on doing it again just so I can understand the brilliance of these puzzles!!”

“Bigfoot escape room, and I must say it was an incredible adventure from start to finish. The ending was truly amazing, leaving me in awe of the clever twists and turns that brought the story to a thrilling conclusion. The puzzles were challenging yet enjoyable, keeping us engaged and on our toes throughout the entire game. The set design was nothing short of wonderful, immersing us in a realistic and captivating Bigfoot-themed environment. Overall, the Bigfoot escape room provided an unforgettable and exhilarating experience that I would highly recommend to all adventure seekers and puzzle enthusiasts.”

“Super fun set design, great for new players. I'll mention that we did this room with a few kids and they had a ton of fun as well. We like most of the rooms at this location - I'm usually impressed with the size of the rooms and the puzzles they include.”

“A sprawling and detailed set played host to a variety of creative, tactile, and highly-interactive puzzles. From lasers to croquet to plates to axes to flowers, everything could be a puzzle, but nothing in the set felt like a red herring. One puzzle was deeply underclued, but most were fairly signposted and clearly solvable (though not without some puzzling). A few puzzles were multi-layered, though most were fairly direct. Keen observation and making observations between rooms at times is required. Go in with great communication, and be prepared for a good time!”

“Really enjoyed this game. Spooky, some tough puzzles. Moments where it can bottle neck but if you talk out loud things will connect. Puzzles that have large enough objectives that everyone can be involved. Not to scary. Probably the best game there.”

“Probably the best museum heist I have played. Came to play it with a group of 4 and that was a perfect amount. Great use of space. The room was a moderate and felt that was appropriate. Even though the room was a moderate the puzzles were not easy. All Tech room which was very well done. The immersion was on point with a beautiful set design. The puzzles were actually puzzles and not just a whole bunch of magnets. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great and fantastic room. The company only charges $24.99 and that is a steal for a room with zero locks. My group and I had the best time and don’t let Hudson down!!!!!”

“This is one of the most immersive experiences I have had in an escape room. The owner is absolutely amazing as well. Super excited to see them finish the projects that they have in the works. This location is awesome! Amazing clue system as well. 10/10”

“The 2 of us do ALL escape rooms just us and together because of how fluent our communication is. Even rooms that “require” more players bc of difficulty. We have only failed 3 rooms and this was one of them. I can honestly say that we failed due to not having enough time and not bc of difficulty. In my opinion, businesses that have rooms like this should have an option for “time extension if less than so many players”, even if at an additional cost. This would allow experienced groups of fewer players to enjoy the entire room without feeling like they didn’t get to experience the last part of a fantastic room because of something completely out of their control. (And just not including parts of a great room for these groups should never be an option.)”

There’s a reason why this part of the country is called the Valley of the Sun, few places in the US get more sun than this desert metropolis. But Phoenix and Glendale have a lot more to offer than just a nice tan, these closely related cities are a hotbed of culture, attractions, and some of the best escape rooms in the southwest. If visiting in the winter - something that is highly recommended - then consider catching a Cardinal’s football game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Or perhaps you might enjoy a family hike Papago Park? Whatever your interests may be, you’ve go to eat, and Chelsea’s Kitchen is an excellent option for any palette. Just be sure to save some room in the itinerary for some of the area’s best escape rooms - there’s a lot to experience, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning again and again.
Phoenix and Glendale have embraced the escape room community over the past few years, turning out some of the highest quality games in the region. Since the first escape rooms arrived in The Valley of the Sun, this oasis in the desert has fallen in love with these immersive experiences. In fact, greater Phoenix is now home to over 20 different escape room venues. Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Eludesions Escape Rooms is a fantastical adventure suitable for all ages. Grim Stacks: Books & Binding at The Puzzle Effect seamlessly intertwines thought-provoking puzzles into its immersive theme and set design. Escape Westgate’s The Lost Tomb is a fresh take on the popular excavation motif. With dozens of escape games in the area, the possibilities are basically endless — you’ll find games with themes of horror, adventure, crime, espionage, and plenty you may not expect.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
