It seemed at times like they swung too far in the direction of an immersive atmosphere and detracted from some puzzles in the process, relying on searching in very odd places. Also, the big reveal at the end was broken so we lacked that feeling of accomplishment. It’s just not the same when the GM comes on the speaker to say “well, that didn’t work, but you did it right so you won”

We needed one clue on a very clever puzzle that we were nowhere close to solving. Otherwise, it was a breeze and we escaped in no time. I will definitely be back to Mystery Mansion!

The puzzles are novel, the theme was tight, and there are elements of this room I haven’t seen anywhere else. Can’t wait to play more rooms at Breakout KC!
