The Grand Immersia HotelImmersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis room was so much fun! I had an absolute blast. Lots of great moments and lots of great laughs. I enjoyed the storyline, and the puzzles followed the narrative quite nicely. I played this as a duo, and we were able to comfortably escape.
Ghost LightMyss Tic RoomsEscape roomIRLSuch a splendid game! I loved the storyline and theme. Great puzzles, great atmosphere. Our GM was super kind and attentive. Definitely worth checking out!
The Steampunk ExpressThe Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative MindEscape roomIRLSolid experience👌🏽👌🏽 This is the hardest room at The Imaginarium, but still loads of fun. There were a variety of puzzles, enough so that everyone in the group was engaged. The GM and front staff were super friendly and accommodating. They gave us a little bit of extra time so we could finish the room.
Montauk ProjectMyss Tic RoomsEscape roomIRLFun room! Great atmosphere and some cool puzzles. The tech was a bit finicky in this room. We wasted 10 min troubleshooting our puzzle solving, but it turned out that the tech was just faulty. Our timer also disconnected, so we couldn’t keep track of our elapsed time. Aside from those hiccups, we enjoyed our experience.
Παρεκκλήσι & Κατακόμβες [Chapel & Catacombs]Lockhill Nea IoniaEscape roomIRLWOW! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! IMMERSION 💯 As soon as you arrive at the facility, to the moment you leave, you are in for an absolute treat. THIS GAME IS SCARY. You have an option to dial down the scariness and play in daylight mode (no actors), which is what I chose to do because I thought my soul was going to leave my body. YOU WILL BE SWEATING* *I played in a group of 2, and the facility is HUGE. There were moments where I was winded, but that didn’t take away from the enjoyment. The puzzles were enjoyable, and we didn’t find anything overly difficult. If you are in Athens, you should definitely make this a part of your travel itinerary. You won’t be disappointed!
Firefighter Rescue MissionEscape From The 6Escape roomIRL🚒🚒🚒 A timeless classic! I played in a group of 4, which I found was a good number of people for the types of puzzles there were. Everyone had an opportunity to solve things and interact with the space.
Volcano Views: Aerial ToursEscape From The 6Escape roomIRLThis room was oodles and oodles of fun! The tasks that we had to complete really made this room shine! There were some cool moments in the narrative as well. There was one puzzle that we found a bit difficult to see, but it wasn’t too long or involved, so it didn’t bother us that much. Our GM for this game was nice. He gave us some extra time to complete the room when he saw that we were close to the end.
Motel BettyOmescape CanadaEscape roomIRLI really wanted to like this room more than I actually did There were some really fun puzzles that fit the theme quite nicely, but there were also some puzzles that felt random and janky. The puzzling experience wasn’t as cohesive as I would have liked it to be. I played in a group of 6, and there were some moments where 2 people were figuring out a puzzle, while the others were standing around. For a 2 hr room and for the price we paid, I would have preferred more actor interaction. The times the actor did show up were fun though. The hint system would have been great IF we could hear what was being said. There is an automated, audio hint system. There is also spooky music plaything throughout the room. When you dial in for a hint, both the music and the hints play at the same time, so it makes it quite difficult to discern what is being said. We had some tech issues, but the GM gave us some extra time to compensate for them. Overall the experience was fine. Worth doing for sure, especially since it’s slim pickings when it comes to actor-led horror escape rooms in the GTA.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - New YorkEscape roomIRLFun game! Definitely go with a larger group. There were only 2 of us, so we weren’t able to finish. The puzzles aren’t hard, there is just A LOT of them to complete. The set and game pieces were a tad bit worn, but everything worked as expected.
