Whatever Happened To The Garretts?Maze Rooms West LAEscape roomIRLBy far my favorite room played (15 rooms thus far). It came recommended by the designer of stash house, which was high praise! The puzzles are logical, the atmosphere of the rooms are unreal! I don’t mean expensive high production sets, just the feeling of being in this family’s space and snooping through their stuff where everything was period correct felt kind of uncanny or unsettling. Brooding! Heavy. Each room forward felt like a big progression and an advancement of the story. The theme was unmatched as well. GREAT GAME.
Sky OdysseyMaze Rooms VermontEscape roomIRLLoved the theme!!! Great gameplay, kept us busy lots to do. BUT SO MANY BROKEN PROPS!! This location seems to have great games that are not well. It really detracted from the gameplay, 2 parts at the finale didn’t work so we didn’t realize we escaped until the Gamemaster came in. More than 6 props were broken. So we relied on the gamemaster for a lot of help. Didn’t help that the Gamemaster was kinda lame as well this time, zero enthusiasm and hard to communicate with.
Catalina Pirate ChallengeEscape Room CatalinaEscape roomIRLGM took our photo at the beginning with props which was so nice! Game felt a little hard for what it was, started off dark which I hate but we managed well. There was lots to do, it kept us busy. Tech was mostly 1st gen, but it felt more advanced because all the shackles and keys fit well into the pirate theme, and the games/puzzles were creative. No broken props, and they used red tape to mark where not to touch which is great. Great game I had a great time!
Chernobyl Disaster: Moments AfterThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLAmazing set, realism at the next level. Some of the details were gorgeous Gameplay was good but a little too straightforward, puzzles were not that hard to solve and we would have liked more challenge as we finished early.
