Wizard's Treasure60Out HollywoodEscape roomIRLMy 11 year old was a bit traumatized by a dimly lit Egyptian themed room that we played as a family 3 years ago. He wanted to try playing again, and I was looking for the right experience for him to make a triumphant return. This was it! The room is very atmospheric and well done, but nothing overly scary. It's also simple enough that he really didn't need me for anything outside of an extra set of hands. It was a great experience to let him explore and play, taking the lead and rebuilding his confidence. As others said, don't expect a big challenge here, but it's fun with cute puzzles. I highly recommend this game for kids. Rachel is an absolute gem of a GM. Her energy and management of things made the experience even better.
Escape Castle Svetvinčenat [Outdoor]Grimani CastleEscape roomIRLThe puzzles were quite good, though this isn't a traditional escape. You are really using the puzzles to move you through touring this ancient site. Important to know that you do this on your own, which is nice. You can take your time and not worry about being in a group beating you to the solve. The museum at the site was also very interactive with VR and interesting exhibits. They did a great job of bringing puzzles and escape energy to make this tour more interactive and exciting, without detracting from the castle itself. The castle itself is very worth the drive.
