The Body Shop
Red Fox Escapes
Escape room
IRL
Played all 3 red fox games while in Boston for recon 2022. This game is Top 5 game all time for me! Story was absolutely amazing, puzzles and the room itself told /showed me the story and I was blown away by many little details that only added to the experience. A good mix of some tech & lots of very hands on activities (No physically demanding aspects tho) Adaptive difficulty (Nico, Co-owner, explained how they set that up and they do a good job of it) Definitely worth a go if you're playing rooms in Boston! Side note, both other games at red fox were quite good, with "the heist" also making my top 20 list, but if you only have time for 1, body shop is the choice.

This room was quite hilarious! One puzzle was really finicky, but overall it was a fun, albeit linear room. Played with a few others in a public room (pre covid). The storyline alone is worth checking out this room if you visit the Portland area.

Very fun room. Well executed puzzles and challenges. A story that didn't feel forced, but had some interest. Everything felt doable, even the hardest moments always were within grasp. Had a great game host as well.

It was a total blast! Very hearty recommendation. Good puzzles with a large variety of things. A great implementation of a mechanic I haven't seen well used that often. Story line was a tad forced, but reasonable. Only minor gripe is even with torches, it was a bit hard to see things a few times. The lobby has several fun things to solve! Enjoy! 😉

Really liked this one! Medium hard difficulty overall, one part contains crawling , but there is an accessibility option available upon request. Quite a few puzzles, only a few physical locks in the entire game. I’ve played all 4 rooms at TVER and this one /gemstone are my 2 favorites.

Escape Treasure valley is a wonderful place. Sean, the owner, was great and you can tell the craftsmanship put into everything. Fun puzzles. Serious aha solving moments and exploration moments. Theme and story was simple but effective. If you only have time for 1 room in the Boise area, this would be a good choice!

In traditional Labyrinth fashion, the set and decor is beautiful. There was one set of things that was just decor, but happened to fit very well with how we were trying to solve a particular puzzle. Unfortunately, for us it was more of the decor. That said. The looks alone make this a nice room. The rain was kinda fun. Not my personal favorite, but it was an interesting gimmick. First room was quite dark, and trying to read rather fanciful or small scripts proved a tad hard.

As with all Labyrinth rooms, set is beautiful! And hosts were both top tier and very fun to chat with and interact with before, during, and after the room. (Houston & Jenkins?) As is often my personal bane, missed a few search related things, but overall room is very nice though not standout. Good addition to the labyrinth escape rooms storyline cannon if you follow that :)

Gnarly dude! Designed by enthusiasts for sure. Rated fairly easy, and was linear, but was fun and had some cool throw back moments to the glory of 8 bit gaming. I'd recommend no more than 4 people. Probably 2-3 if your team has any experience.

Played with a larger group, 7, but it was a good time with multiple puzzles to solve at once. Theming was petty decent, and lots of fun curiosities and jars and boxes to explore. Had a few ah-ha! moments and a few clever uses of items I’ve seen before, used in new ways. Raw puzzle count was decently high! Probably not a room I’d recommend for a very first time, though overall quite excellent! By far my favorite room at Escape This. Minor gripe: A few times we found parts of a puzzle which we thought we could then. It wasn’t very clear that a puzzle was not solvable until much later. Now sometimes we knew more parts where still to come, but 2 times we thought we had what we needed only to be stuck for some time.
