A few puzzles were a bit tedious and there was one element that we did not understand why it was necessary. But game was well-paced. Linear without being too restrictive. Our host was highly energetic and made the experience great.

Fair GameRed Door Escape Room San DiegoEscape roomIRLSuper fun theme! Loved the use of so many practical elements and a few surprises. One puzzle in particular can be physically challenging/tedious. And there are a few puzzles where the correlation wasn’t clear (to us, anyway). Escaped with 2 players, experienced. Location was bright and clean. Staff was friendly and our GM was sweet. Definitely would recommend for a smaller group.
The Disappearance at Fogmore ManorThe EntrapmentEscape roomIRLFun. Very linear so the smaller the group, the better. Some fun reveals and puzzles, but requires a lot of reading, which can get a little tedious. Good mix of combo locks, key locks, and mag locks. Some cool props and set pieces, too.
FreakshowBreakout Escape RoomEscape roomIRLDecent room. I know it’s their newest, and they’re still making adjustments. Fairly immersive. A little empty, set-dressing wise. Pretty much everything you see is used. A few things didn’t work for us and the game master had to come in and fix them or tell us over the walkie what was supposed to happen. The story was really good and the main goal was fun, at least for us.
MedievalLockdown Escape Rooms San Diego HillcrestEscape roomIRLAtmosphere was great. It is easy, but it’s still a fun experience. We finished as a group of 2 with 20 minutes left, using one hint. A variety of puzzle types. Some very cool props. Would definitely recommend for a small beginner group. Street parking can be tough, be prepared.
