An Hour to Kill
The Exit Game Los Angeles
Escape room
IRL
This room was basic and many of the puzzles were not working. One of the gamemaster was actually in the room helping us out, also I felt like they did not care and just wanted us to touch and solve the puzzles. The story was not interesting and not set up well by the game master.

The game was fun and It allowed me to reminisce about my favorite shows, a good tribute. The puzzles were not too difficult but would recommend at least 4 for a mix of type of players from non experienced to experienced players. 2 experienced is doable I think, we did it with three. The puzzles were linear and the space was huge for the amount of puzzles in the room. Gamemaster was nice and helpful, did not give hints, more of nudges for us. It took us too long to figure out the first puzzle that would allow us to start the room. I cant wait to see their other tribute room escapes. :P

The room was really well done and I liked the GM goal was for us to feel like we were in a different world. I really like the puzzles and the tech. It was an interesting room. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I liked the flow and how the puzzles felt interactive. But the best part was you felt the passion and pride the owners had for the room. They require 4 people to play but in general it can be down with 2 people.

At this moment I see this room is rated as easy, I do not know why. Unless I am mistaken but it was hard for me. We did not make it out of the room, some puzzles took longer to figure out and cause us to be trapped. We rated as a medium to high difficulty. The setting of the room is amazing, very scary. The room was a bit too dark to see some of the puzzles though. The story was well done, the puzzles were innovative.

The new game is pretty fun. The puzzles and rooms were interesting and fun. The story, like others state, makes no sense. I really did not understand the ending though. A bit disjointed but I liked everything else. The production and twist were definitely there. On the website it stated hard, but it was definitely medium for experienced players maybe a bit easy for others. Other than that I would like to try their other rooms. Puzzles are linear.

This room was excellent and it felt scary. No jump scares but the mood and setting was done to set up the feeling. I liked how we were setup in the beginning. The puzzles were a bit difficult, but experienced players might have an easier time. There are some puzzles one should be ready to reach for and not scared of germs (haha). I do not know if it was changed after covid.

This game was definitely different and the puzzles were atypical from traditional rooms. As I saw from another review, this site definitely does have the best game masters (2nd time here). They are friendly, they explain the rules, they make sure you feel a part of the story. As for the room, it took me and my friend a long time to get started because of a task that was different. The room is definitely light on the puzzles. It was a mix of interesting and frustration at times. It was still a good time and would recommend it. Ending was okay, thanks for the mini scare! The story was alright though, it would have been better with more puzzles.

We were told it was their first rooms and first location. It was easily seen because it definitely felt first gen in a way and basic. BUT the gameplay was cute and definitely a good room to bring newbies into room escapes. I was surprised how many of the puzzles were not the typical combination / Lock heavy as some first gen rooms tend to be. The story was ok. I am glad I was able to play an older room before they move. Game master was so nice and very into discussing the room after.

This room was hard, but was fun to play. Probably do not bring any newbies, more experienced heads will def help. Did not escape with the object in question. Hopefully after more time has past, I would like to do the room again. It was not as decorated highly like other rooms I seen but for the scenario, I guess it did not need to be.

Game was a good intro to the story. The game moves fast due to it being 45 min. I did like the actor that was in it, he made the experience more fun and interesting. It was not as scary as I thought it would be. The puzzles were not as difficult but were a lot to do in such little time. If we had one more person, maybe it would have gone more quickly. All in all It was a good and exciting experience. The Gamemasters were cute in trying to do a cute new introduction for us. We appreciated it and they were also very nice. I am excited to try the last two rooms.
