Game Night
CU Adventures in Time and Space
Escape room
IRL
This is one of my favorite rooms of all time. It's clear the owners are passionate, great story tellers, and talented set designers. There is so much immersion here, every single object you see or touch fits the theme. I loved the progression of the room from start to finish, it really felt like we were going ton a true dungeon quest. I won't spoil the ending, but it was VERY climactic and interactive, my group was yelling and laughing with excitement. I ended up playing this room twice and there are so many interesting details in the room that I loved it the 2nd time too. The game masters at CU Adventures are super friendly and fun too.

I didn't think going back to school would be so much fun! I loved the variety of puzzles and everything fit the theme, no random padlocks here.

I see why this is currently the top ranked room in the Chicagoland area here on Morty, it's the best one I've played so far in the area. The theming was great, set was high quality and fairly immersive, and the puzzles were fun and varied. It utilized tech nicely and had no random padlocks that felt out of place. It was spooky and fun, but wasn't scary. It's a good room for 2-3 people.
Revenge Of The Cabin

Love this room, by far the best cabin themed room I've done. The set is so immersive, every item you see or touch fits the theme and adds to the experience. There isn't even a LCD TV to distract you, they use a more interesting way to keep track of time. I love the method they used to interact with the game master, it's was creative and added to the immersion. The puzzles were varied and very fun and I enjoyed the progression of the room/story. It's clear the owners are very passionate about escape rooms and they are clearly experienced with storytelling and set building. They also picked great game masters who were funny and personable.

Wow, CU Adventures knocked it out of the park with this one, by far the best space/futuristic themed room I've done. The set was so immersive, everything you see and touch fit the theme and it was properly high tech, I don't recall there being a single padlock which would've taken away from the immersion. Even the interaction with the game master was immersive and involved tech. I like that they went for a grungy/lived-in design for the space ship which is harder to pull off than a clean/sterile design. The puzzles had so much variety and were so fun, some were physical while others were done on a screen (though they usually had physical controls, not just a touchscreen). The ending was climactic and involved a lot of team work which was super fun.

This room is good for the Indianapolis region, but having done much better cabin themed rooms elsewhere in the US, I was a bit underwhelmed with Twisted's version. The set design was good but some of the puzzles weren't quite intuitive or interesting enough for my team, but they might have worked better for other people.
The Depths

Another solid room by The Escape Game, definitely a bit on the easier side for those with a lot of experience so this would be good for beginners. I enjoyed the puzzles, they were straightforward but still fun, especially towards the end. There were a few more locks than I would've preferred, but I believe this is one of TEG's older rooms. Their newer rooms have much fewer locks.
CLUE
Breakout Games

This is definitely the best room at Breakout. The set was nicely done and the game-play fit the theme well. There was a nice variety of puzzles, our group had a lot of fun running around the rooms.
Scrooge's Christmas Trap

Overall a fun room but this is CU Adventure's lower effort room, but considering it's not one they have year round, it's understandable. Their standards are VERY high though so lower effort is still very good. This is definitely an easier room meant more for families and beginners, I did it with only one other person and we still didn't think it was very hard. The puzzles were creative and the immersion is pretty good.

I have mixed feelings about this room. It's large and interactive and the set is nicely done with some decent tech, but It's not really an escape room, it's more of a puzzle challenge room. You're not really escaping, you're solving as many puzzles as possible in a set time. If, like me, you like escape rooms for the adventure, discovery, and immersion aspect, then you won't like this room as much. If you love logic, memory, and physical puzzles, then you will probably enjoy the room more than I did. I appreciate that they tried something different, it just wasn't quite what I wanted out of a room. I definitely did not appreciate having to solve the same puzzles repeatedly with increasing difficulty.
