Neighborhood Watcher
The Escape Ventures
Escape room
IRL
Such as fun game. Perfect execution with a live actor. Rode the perfect in-between of funny/scary. Great immersion, fun moments. Would keep team size on the smaller side- 2-3 would probably be best.
Storyteller's Secret
Boxaroo
Escape room
IRL
What Storyteller Secret lacks in square footage, it makes up x 2 in every other aspect. Beautifully and brilliantly designed room with great puzzle flow, immersion, and some of the best tech/automation we’ve seen in an escape room. Easily top three in the Boston area.
Cutthroat Cavern
13th Gate Escape
Escape room
IRL
The hype is real!!! This is easily one of the top 3 games in the country. The best set design we have ever seen… with things we’ve never seen happen before. There’s a lot to do in this room so bring an experienced team and don’t be shy to ask for a hint… you’ll definitely want to see the whole experience!
Dark Lullaby
Escape Artist Greenville - Hampton Station
Escape room
IRL
Dark Lullaby broke our top 5 out of 180!!! Such a fun, immersive game with many fun (and scary) moments. The best room in SC!!
Teleporter Trials
Lock, Clock, and Peril Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
Fantastic room with great puzzles, strong flow, immersive set, a well thought-out story (that made sense why we were doing the things we were doing), fun/funny moments, and a very memorable beginning and end. An absolute must play. Owners are great as well.
Help Wanted
Escape Artist Greenville - Hampton Station
Escape room
IRL
Totally immersive from the moment we walked into Escape Artist Greenville’s door- Similar to The Bureau in Orlando. Great use of live actors. Some really cool moments and good use of tech. Still a couple semi-frightening (fun) moments
The Last Supper
Quest Tavern
Escape room
IRL
If you find yourself in Socal, The Last Supper is a must play!! The first part of the experience is actor driven and is both stress-inducing (in the best way) and a lot of fun. As long as you don’t expect a puzzle-packed experience (for that l, try Quest Tavern’s other game- The Bridge Between), you’ll have a blast.
The Seventh Room
Dare 2 Escape
Escape room
IRL
Great set design, great atmosphere, and some really cool moments. Claustrophobics beware, there are at least 2 people that need to be in some tight spaces. But otherwise, the fear was cultivated more through atmosphere than jump scares. One of the best games in Orlando, and D2E’s strongest room in our opinion. Definitely a ‘must play’ if you are in Orlando and like scary rooms
The Body Shop
Red Fox Escapes
Escape room
IRL
Fantastic room. Puzzle heavy with great flow and is scaleable to give a “full” experience to teams regardless of size/experience level. Part of the room is creepy, but not overtly scary. Will never look at Girl Scouts the same
Yuletide Magic
Escape Artist Greenville - Downtown
Escape room
IRL
Our favorite holiday-themed room! Some really fun moments, including one involving a live actor. Our favorite non-scary room at Escape Artist Greenville!
