Escape room
IRL
Started off with being told that no rooms were available at that time. Offered a later time, but we declined due to a prior engagement. He chased us across the building to tell us that there was availability at that moment. Not much of a story line to follow. Had to call the game master in because the item we were looking for wasn’t where the puzzle said it was. He came in stumbling and when we asked him about the prop. He starred at us and proceeded to tell us that they didn’t have the prop at all. We wasted time looking for a prop that was important to the story, when he could’ve given us a disclaimer. He did tell us that we were missing something. Which was helpful, so I’ll give him that. He stood there over our shoulder and made comments/ gave clues that we DID NOT ask for. (At this point, like I stated, he answered our question that we originally called him in for and kept giving us information that we didn’t ask for. Our group takes escape rooms very seriously, regardless of the difficulty). It took me telling him that we had enough of his comments and passive aggressively told him we don’t want anymore help. He was very rude. Made the comment “if you say so” like we needed him in there holding our hand. There was no obvious ending. We stood there looking around. Eventually called him in. He asked us what the answer was to the last puzzle even though we completed it and had the audio cue playing indicating that we got the right answer. He made us confirm the answer like we didn’t just complete the puzzle correctly and the audio was playing…. Weird, but okay… never, in all my experiences, did I have to call in a game master to tell us that we completed a room. Not to mention, the time never stopped. So you won’t get an accurate time if you play. It was a very cheaply made room for an arcade that seems to made a good bit of money because they were holding an event and was VERY BUSY( they had an arcade and bowling alley). We paid $117 for 4 people and it was basically a rip off. ***They do not take cash because, as the employee stated WORD FOR WORD: “They do not trust me with cash.” *** ****The game master was the man that did the booking/transactions****** I would not recommend this room at all. Not even to my worse enemy. If you are looking for a ‘beginner’ friendly escape room. This is not the place for you. As a person who has done plenty of escape rooms, expert difficulty included, this was the most confusing and the biggest waste of time I’ve ever had. The best part about being here was leaving the parking lot. Don’t waste your time like we did. Trust me.
