The Edison Escape Room
Palace Games
Escape room
IRL
My favorite out of the three rooms at the palace (haven’t played the attraction yet). The puzzles were just really neat and utilized the entire room, literally! There were 5 of us and that felt like a good number. I probably wouldn’t go more than 6. Had some really cool aspects that I haven’t seen to date in other rooms. There is enough to do that will utilize all members of your team so no one will feel left out.

Although the puzzles weren’t as good as Edison in my opinion, I enjoyed the Roosevelt theme the most out of all the Palace Games themes. One of the puzzles felt a little bit repetitive. The last section had a little mishap with a few things not working, but we worked through it and it didn’t take away from the drive we had to complete the room. Did this with a group of 4 and it felt like a good number. Enjoy the patriotism and old school feel to this room. Bully!

The Great Houdini Escape Room
Palace Games
Escape room

This was actually my very first escape room! Probably not the best for first timers because like the other palace games rooms, it can be a little overwhelming and challenging, however it was a great introduction to my addiction! The puzzles were very innovative. There were a few moments which were surprising, but not necessarily scary. Had a lot of fun and staff were wonderful.

Quandary Escape Rooms

I loved the theme of the room! The design was super cute and the atmosphere was very immersive. From beginning to end I enjoyed this room. Some very unique puzzles and lots of high tech equipment. Very happy to get out with no hints and a minute to spare. GM was very nice and said they are building a 4th room in the storyline. Will definitely be back
The Reel
The Puzzle Effect Clovis
Escape room

Solo’d this room! No hints used! I absolutely love this room. It might be my favorite out of all the Puzzle Effect rooms. Great decor, theme, puzzles, everything. I never got frustrated and everything flowed really well.
The Mystery At The Majestic Theatre
Find & Seek
Escape room
IRL
I played this after Zita’s and loved this room. It was a bit easier but had puzzles that took a while to figure out. Nevertheless I didn’t get stressed out because everything flowed very well. I conquered this one solo too and finished with about 8 mins left I think. Keep in mind these rooms are only 45 mins so you might need to move faster than normal if you’re used to 60 min gameplay. Have fun!

Liked the puzzles! Some new stuff I hadn’t seen but quickly picked up on the concept. Overall great experience.
The Curse Of Madame Zita’s Curiosities

I loved the theme and idea of this room. Everything flowed very well and I was impressed with how well everything worked. The puzzle design was brilliant and had a few things I hadn’t seen before! I played it solo and needed about 5 more minutes to finish the last couple puzzles but nevertheless left highly satisfied. Staff were wonderful!
Grim Stacks: Books & Binding
The Puzzle Effect San Luis Obispo
Escape room
IRL
Solo’d this room! The bookshop with the window was super cute. It’s the only escape room I’ve been in where there’s a window to the outside, but it fits so well. It would be cool if they utilized that in one of the puzzles but that’s just my out of the box brain thinking! It felt like a bookshop straight out of Harry Potter or something.
Deja Vu
Escape Era
Escape room
IRL
Unfortunately we just didn’t have the greatest experience from start to finish. I booked Arcade and realized when we went in the room that she put us in Deja Vu. I didn’t want to say anything since we were already there and didn’t realize til we started because there was no back story or anything. Our GM was super sweet but very new. She wanted to take our photo before we played? And came in the room later to give us something that was supposed to be in the room already I think. I’m pretty sure one of the solutions for one of the puzzles was programmed wrong. It was just a little awkward from the start and didn’t flow very well. Puzzles in the second room were much better.
