Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape VenturesEscape roomIRLThis was one of the most beautiful and clever escape rooms I’ve experienced. We got to do things that I didn’t think were possible to achieve in escape rooms. Char was so sweet and committed to her role as our GM that we probably would have done the other rooms here, even if we didn’t absolutely adore this one. It flows super well and every puzzle is super solvable if not a bit intellectually challenging. Only complaint is that sometimes the triggered mechanisms are very quiet, so keep your eyes peeled. I would 100% recommend. I have not played anything else like this!
Captain Spoopy BonesDoldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis game stands out for its clever, humorous spin on a traditional theme. The puzzles were exceptional, though I would definitely recommend going with people you are close to as communication skills are a must. It was the first room to blow my mind and the effects are amazing. It is fun from the beginning to the end. It deserves every award it has won. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This room has my heart.
PlaygroundThe Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis is my favorite room at The Escape Game. The whole room is themed from top to bottom and the puzzles are unique, themed, and linear/logical. It is so fun and everything ties back to the experience of being a kid. The story was cute, not too deep or compelling, but cute. Honestly, it’s all just an excuse to play so I’ll forgive it that. Unfortunately, it is so popular that when we played as a team of two and later as a team of four (hoping to do all the puzzles), other people booked into it as well and we didn’t get to experience anything. For extroverts, I’m sure it is fun. But if you only want to work with your own team or are more introverted, it dampens the experience. We never got to help with everything and sometimes people wouldn’t communicate, so you’d try to desperately solve a puzzle someone else solved 15 minutes ago. Great room that I adore, even if my personal gameplay experience was lacking.

Prison BreakThe Escape GameEscape roomIRLWe played this with two people and it was fairly difficult. It was a great set and the whole tone of the adventure was great. There are some fun hidden surprises along the way! Some of the puzzles are really unique, but some I didn’t really enjoy as much. A couple were tedious or just required large logical jumps, in my opinion. You have to remember a lot of information and I don’t recall getting a whiteboard/notepad. The set and integration of “reveals” was superb. Overall, a very fun room, if not a tad cliche.
