This was my first live escape room experience and I wasn’t sure what to anticipate but I was blown away with the ingenuity and creativity on display for this game. All the love and details that was put in made incredible moments to remember and the after game talk with Joel the owner only proved that this project had his whole attention put into it. I can’t wait to play his next game whenever it goes public and you should play this game already. p.s. we also got the fastest time for a team of two. just sayin~

I am pleasantly surprised by this game. Lots of escape games you can play virtually have lots of complicated or elaborate puzzles and can feel very marathonish, which isn’t a bad thing at all to some. but this game gave me the first genuine feeling of playing an escape room that I’d almost forgot that it was a video game sometimes. puzzles were easy to follow, story added urgency and whimsy and the drama of the situations that you’re put in added that extra bit to the game that makes it stand out amongst in person rooms by placing you in situations that escape rooms can’t even attempt. plus the variation of each experience makes a large selection of moments that still stick to me when i think about escape rooms in general. this game has left me feeling better for playing it, which i can’t say for many escape video games. if you read this far, you should give this a try, get it while it’s in a steam sale! definitely going to try some of the DLC next!

We did this room randomly on a whim and was very happy with it! Did it with 2 people and felt that was enough to complete it. When we attempted it, they also gave us a free scare 3D experience afterwards. They were very nice also in their customer service

My absolute favorite from mc2games. The environments, puzzles, storytelling and reveals are some of the best they have done. I remember vividly being so satisfied putting the pieces together for some of the puzzles that I wish I could forget it all and try it again. Plus, as a Harry Potter fan, this is the closest thing to an escape room playing out as close as possible to the Philosopher’s Stone I will probably ever get to experience. The perfect use of the virtual medium for an escape room, and I’m upset I can’t experience it blind again. Obliviate.

the perfect game if you’re a huge fan of Chris Ramsey’s puzzle box series. just puzzle box after puzzle box leading into a very interesting store that’s only just the beginning of a wild adventure. just download it on your phone and play it whenever you have 5-10 minutes to spare.

A nice evolution over the first “The Room” with surprises throughout the game. The revelations given throughout each chapter makes you want to give deeper and deeper and the puzzles seemed more “escape room” like and not just “look around the box until you find a hidden switch” which the previous version felt like given it just being an evolving box. There’s no reason that if you already made it past the first game that you should stop the story now that things are getting good.

I fun little game that can be played and having you ripping out your hair in only a few minutes. A good game to work on communication skills for escape rooms in general, but lots of unique solutions and variety to warrant multiple replays

a very well designed game with easy to understand yet complex to solve puzzles. imagine an escape room marathon, that just leads you from one room to the next to solve puzzles in an interestingly developing narrative with a twist ending that you don’t really experience in in-person escape rooms. the fact that since it’s a video game makes it so the puzzles can lead to anything and do anything in response. its very fun for someone with enthusiast eyes to be surprised by the creativity some of these puzzles need to be completed. if you have an itch and can’t get to a room to scratch it, this is a very good substitute.
Regular Factory

Narratively one of the strongest of mc2games’ catalogue. The story in this game unravels so naturally and ever so slowly that it keeps you constantly wanting more and more of the plot to reveal itself. Their earlier entries leave a single question on your mind that you’re slowly trying to uncover throughout the experience, but this story is constantly evolving and i think because of that, made this one more rewarding to try to finish. The puzzles are also more intricate and less hand-holdy than their earlier work. A great example of environmental storytelling and an environmental hint system. One of my favorites from them.
Between Time

narratively, this story isn’t as plot twisty or elaborate as the previous games mc2games had put out, but it makes up for it with amazingly detailed settings and puzzles fitting within the themes of the time travel locations. Visually much more elaborate than the previous entries and puzzle wise, tougher as well. Ultimately, I enjoyed the other entries simply by the narratives and how they’ve been etched into my mind. Nonetheless, this is a great substitute for an irl room if your choices are lacking.
