The Ministry Of Peculiarities

Easily one of my top five games! The experience is delightful from the moment you enter the building. Highly recommend this one. * Although it has a spooky seeming theme it is not scary. I had friends who told me this ahead of time which really helped me choose to go. I’m usually afraid of scary games and won’t book them.

This game had some memorable moments and a beautiful set. A few puzzles in the middle overstayed their welcome, causing us to loose momentum. The last part of the game was a standout experience that makes the entire game worth trying. I loved the last part!

This was more experience than Escape room and I absolutely loved it. The storytelling and set design is masterful. Definitely sets the standard for future experiences. Stand outs for me or the onboarding and off boarding as well as the incredible set and voice acting. One small critique is that this game should include trigger warnings. Just in case someone has something they would not like to deal with at the moment.

I enjoyed the dystopian humor of the game. It had a couple of great props and prop interactions and puzzles had a nice flow to them.

LOVED this game. I was impressed with the custom made items and unique puzzles. There were a few I’ve never seen before and it was so much fun. They also had an impressive set that was exciting to explore. The game master was attentive and hints were integrated into the story. There were a few puzzles we probably would not have solved without a hint, but the hints were part of the story, and in character so it was all just fine. I imagine if someone were to try to play with no hints they might become frustrated.
