Memories of NikolaEscape Artists ChristchurchEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this room. At the beginning it felt like a standard escape artists room (which are pretty good rooms) but they managed to pull off some things that were very cool (no spoilers). Nice mix of lock and key and observational puzzles. Highly recommend.
Into The DarkCodebreakersEscape roomIRLHighly recommend. Not your standard escape room. Wearing a blindfold we had to use our other senses to complete puzzles in the room. The story was exciting and communication was key.
The Lost Hut of AntarcticaCodebreakersEscape roomIRLAtmosphere was very immersive and room was chilled to simulate an actual Antarctic hut. Fun puzzles, we completed as a team of two and completed without much difficulty but really enjoyed.
Mutiny on the High SeasXcapeEscape roomIRLGreat room dressing, felt very immersive. Good communication was key. Would recommend all the Xcape rooms.
The Time MachineCodebreakersEscape roomIRLAwesome room, loved the story and the friend inside. Completed this as a team of 2 and got out in time.
Stripclub Escape R18RotofobiaEscape roomIRLDefinitely 18+ but was also very playful. Fun puzzles and lots of laughs along the way. Staff here was great. Very unique theme ;)
Operation Bee HiveEscape Rooms WellingtonEscape roomIRLEnjoyed this room, had enough puzzles and things to do for the 3 of us. We did use one clue as one puzzle didn’t click, but GM was able to point us in the right direction rather than just telling us the answer.
The Gangster's HideoutEmporium BrewingEscape roomIRLCompleted both rooms at Emporium Brewing. Gangsters Hideout was certainly my preferred as it had more in it which meant we used up almost the whole hour (compared to 30 mins for the Hermits Hut). Good puzzles, and a mix of padlock and others. GM was great, and also an escape room enthusiast and was happy to chat. Also met poppy the brewery cat.
AtlantisEscape MateEscape roomIRLCompleted with room with 4 people. Due to the size of the room (huge) it was a little overwhelming but we got to a point where we were in groups of 2 working on different sections and completing puzzles which worked well. Room dressing was very impressive. GM did offer one clue early on which we didn’t ask for, but other than that was great. Highly recommended.
1950's Cold War CodebreakerThe Locked RoomEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this room. Seemed small and unassuming from outside but had some fun surprises and clever puzzles and mechanics. The property was beautiful and our GM was great. Recommend highly.
