Servants of Sleight
The Exit Games FL
Escape room
IRL
This was my 135th room, and I loved it! We traveled 3,000 miles to do this room based on all the great buzz we had heard, and it did not disappoint. We took our four kids and everyone loved it. It was my wife’s 100th room, and they celebrated by making her an “Escake” and a 100th room trophy. They took us on a tour at the end to make sure we understood everything, and they complimented my kids by name on the successes they had in the room. Classy. Immersion, attention to detail, and good old fashioned fun are all top notch!
The Starlight Motel
Escape Artist Greenville - Downtown
Escape room

Take it from an avid escape room enthusiast, if you're in Greenville, you have to play Starlight Motel. The atmosphere is perfect. Puzzles are well integrated, varied, and matched the theme, and there were some great A-Ha moments. This was my 69th room and one of my favorites.

Cutthroat Cavern
13th Gate Escape
Escape room

For this we got paired with a family of six--dad, mom, three kids, and an exchange student from España. They were inexperienced at escape rooms, which meant we spent too much time trying to orient them to what the puzzles were like, but they were much better than giggly pubescent girls. Cutthroat Cavern was very much a Goonies-themed room. And it's production value exceeded even Spellbound. The scope was amazing. Sean Aston and Cory Feldman didn't have this much fun filming Goonies. There were some truly amazing moments. Lots of them. And I am sure we lost time as we just gazed at our surroundings in awe. Clues were given through a talking parrot that was not only hard to understand, but gave very unhelpful clues. So again, not my favorite part. Also, they tell you at the beginning that you only use the objects once. It's a one-and-done room. But that was not true of one object. So we did need a clue to discover that we needed to go back and check the thing we had already used once.

For my 126th escape room, I did this little gem. It's about as good as you can get without Disney-level production value. This was a homemade room, and therefore one of a kind. Very very clever. Great 80s immersion. Highly recommend.
Evil Robots
The Nemesis Club
Escape room
IRL
Wow. I have done over 150 escape rooms, and rarely am I awed like I was with Nemesis Club. From the legitimate business storefront facade to the next-level decor and game play, use of humor and tech, and the VIP after-game treatment, I was impressed from start to finish. Look out, 13th Gate, Nemesis Club is setting the new standard for escape rooms.

So so good! Everything shot it was amazing. Several things I had Berger seen in hundreds of escape rooms done. This is a must do room.

Wow. So clever. So we’ll done. We couldn’t stop talking about how great it was afterward. And we typically prefer fewer locks. But they did locks right here.
Frost Base Z

The decor and story were u I que and very well done. Some of the puzzles weren’t my favorite, but it was still a 95th percentile room.
Inventor's Attic
Escape My Room

I did Smuggler's Den, Inventor's Attic, and Jazz Parlor. They were my 71, 72, and 73rd escape rooms, respectively. I can't say these were the best rooms I have ever done (that honor belongs to a room in Amsterdam), but they were pretty close. They are definitely must-do's if you are an enthusiast and live in the United States. The thing Escape My Room does better than any other room is create an atmosphere where everything fits together as part of a broader story. From how you enter, to what you do in the sitting room while you wait, to orientation, to the walk to the room, to the room itself, and the photos at the end--everything flowed seamlessly. It's as immersive as it gets. The rooms themselves were almost flawless. There was very little I would do differently, and even those would come down to preference and not necessarily make the rooms any better. The rooms are non-linear for the most part, but you always know what you should be doing even if it takes you some time to figure out how to do it. And there are several a-ha moments (always a good thing). I prefer them in reverse order of the way we did them--the rooms kept getting better. Five full stars easy. PS. David was an awesome game master.

We loved this music-mixing themed room! This was my 127th room, and my friend's 2nd. It was equally fun for both of us. Very creative story and game play. A must do.
