I feel like I played a different game than many others. This room’s difficult enough with the quantity of puzzles, but when you add that the lighting is abysmal (and the lanterns you get to help you are no better than set dressing), props are worn down to the point of being unreadable, the staff is practically apathetic, and unlocks are poorly signaled, you have a perfect storm of escape room sins that make this room completely unfair. The puzzles being gated behind intentionally obstructionist elements shows they do not value the customer’s experience. Cool environment, some interesting props, but too many dreadful elements to recommend this company.
Each set was unique and well-designed. There were many bespoke props that fit the world. However, at least one prop that we needed to read was worn-down and illegible. Also, the lamps provided were dim to the point of irony.
Our GM seemed totally checked out, as if they didn’t value our business or

Unless you have night vision and can read completely worn-down props, this room is nigh impossible without just asking for hint after hint.

There are 5 stairs to climb to enter the room. The room is so dimly lit that anyone with or without vision problems will struggle, unless they fix the lamps and actually offer light.

The room has potential… I found it immersive with a nice set design. A lot of tech (and you can tell that the creators spent time designing them), however they don’t all work intuitively (not sure if they were glitchy). For example, there were two puzzles where we were interacting with correctly but they didn’t work until we tried it for the third time. There was one puzzle that we had to interact with the prop for an extended amount of time (like over 2-3 min for an effect to take place. This left us wondering if we were doing it correctly. I think with tech puzzles, it should work pretty quickly/seamlessly to let the players know that they are on the right track. There was also some puzzles that were a little vague in terms of what to do after an effect was triggered. All of these technical problems made the room time consuming and somewhat frustrating. With the stated technical issues, it would be nice to have the GM chime in when they’re seeing that the players are interacting with the puzzle correctly to help push them along. Also 60 min is too short for the number of puzzles in this room, might makes sense to extend to 75 min.
It’s packed with puzzles but I feel too many for just 60 min

I don’t like anything scary. This room was not really scary just spooky themed which was nice. We almost escaped we just barely didn’t finish. It was a nice set and puzzles throughout. The customer service for the room master could have been better. They were a bit rude. Other than that we would recommend the room.

Very Immersive!! Spellbound has high production value, and fun puzzles. I would definitely recommend this game.

Out of the 30 escape rooms I’ve done, this is the only one that I couldn’t finish. But be sure to not make the mistake of doing this with the minimum number of people. Bring a sizable and experienced group of friends. It’s very immersive and puzzles are not sequential. Top 10 escape rooms in PHX

This room is really cool. Had a unique theme, and a really fun environment to be in. There were just a couple things in the room that need to be a little more refined and it would be perfect.
Really fun to do. A couple puzzles we completed but weren’t even sure we had done them correctly or not until the Game Master pointed it out. Could use a little more clarity in a couple puzzles
Well done and immersive.
GM a bit awkward, but friendly.

Great game! Would definitely recommend it. We experienced a couple technical problems that caused us to fail while almost done with the final game. That sucked but an overall great game.
Great storyline.
Immersion was fantastic.

This was my first room ever 🥰 since then I’ve played around 12 rooms, many in Los Angeles, and a few others all over the world, and this one is still on my top three!!! We did this room with 4 people. It had great use of tech. Unique and creative puzzles and elements. Fantastic theming. Fun surprises! And I really loved how it made us have to work as a team at multiple points to move forward in the story. No suggestions on how to make this room any better because honestly I think it’s already amazing!
