Escape The Imposter

When we first heard of an among us escape room, my mother and I found whatever way we could to work this into our trip. We knew it was not going to be stellar, but such a unique theme was hard to pass up on. Of course there were notable flaws, questionable game design decisions (finding numbers and inputting them, in 2023?) and the set was a bizarre amalgamation of outside culture and childlike renderings of a spaceship, but honestly we had fun. As a teen in this era of the internet, I found it hard to keep a straight face, but the game actually leaned into this while playing it somewhat straight. The tasks were remarkably on theme, each one incorporating something from the game (with varying degrees of success), and the tech was minimal but fun to play. The game even surprised me with a building mastery moment more common in premium games than local productions. So if you still find Among Us funny, and enjoy escape rooms, give this one a shot. We were glad we did.
