132 escape rooms
Certainly singular in its theme, The Boobie Trap invites you into a coffee shop and its secret sex dungeon. The room starts strong with an actor-led, snark-heavy coffee shop. There are a lot of laughs to be had as you interact with the actor, take in the set dressing, and then later find and interact with some tremendously unorthodox props. While some puzzles are very on-theme, intuitive, and engrossing, others are not clearly clued and don't completely follow. This is not a room for children, but if you and your adult group are comfortable deadline with sex toys together, this is definitely worth doing!
Gameplay
A few standout puzzles took adult props and made them into unique puzzles and interactions. The social interaction at the start made for a great beginning. The first act had a wonderful flow. Underclued puzzles mixed with non-linear puzzles made some late-game moments feel dissatisfying. Certain reveals did help elevate the experience, and the final puzzle (and the subsequent closure) was very satisfying.
Atmosphere
I never thought sex toys, BDSM accessories, and gloryholes would be a part of an escape room, yet here we are! They definitely leaned into the theme. The coffee shop also had a lot of authentic set dressing that had no bearing on the puzzles. Very unique!
Customer service
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
This theme is supremely unique. Even before the sex club unlocks, the coffee shop setting offers a bit of novelty. Once the adult elements creep in, that's when things get REALLY weird!
Story
You have to destroy some incriminating evidence, and the game indeed concludes with that. The narrative elements don't always fit with the puzzles, but it does make more of an attempt than most rooms.
Difficulty
Medium
Most of the difficulty came from mixing non-linear puzzles and undercluing.

Many puzzles rely on interacting with objects instead of inputting codes in locks.

The first few puzzles involve a snarky barista. While they weren't a large part of the room, they set a playful tone. They gave us nudges and criticism in equal measure. Delightful!

Accessibility
There's a considerable amount of crawling, though I believe it can be circumvented. There's a puzzle involving color where yellow and green are a little difficult to distinguish.
